Be ADULTS PLEASE, but do the Borg retain their reproductive organs after assimilation?

It was established in "Q Who" that the Borg don't only reproduce by assimilation. Our heroes found an infant that was already in process to become a drone, and it had to come from somewhere.

I always assumed the baby was created using gametes from other drones on that cube, and was gestated in the chamber where Riker found it. I find it unlikely that the Borg would assimilate an infant...

Then again, this was before the idea of 'assimilation' had ever been thought of by the writers, so it's understandable.

Except for those few who experienced Unimatrix Zero, I don't think there's any evidence that the Borg dream.
Perhaps the biological part of Turd Ferguson's scenario occurs, but without the accompanying subconscious activity.

I don't think the Borg Queen had any.

She might keep her bottom half in another cube just for safe keeping. Or she lost it. THere's a lot of cubes out there. She'll eventually find her bottom half. Just have to keep looking. It's probably stuck between some borg cushions.

I can't blame her for keeping it in safe storage? If I could remove my junk before going in a room of pipes carrying dangerous fluids, high voltage cables and snippy tools, I would do it too.

I doubt the Borg care about genitalia one way or another, because they mainly reproduce by assimilating others (yes, I'm aware of VOY's Borg baby incubators).

Picard and Seven seem to still have them.
Are we sure? Perhaps this is the real reason why Picard was so mad at them in ST: First Contact. Years of frustration just builds up to this...

Cutting it off inflicts a wound that they would then have to heal and repair. Doesn't seem necessary. You just wont be using it much. If they want to increase their numbers other than thru assimilation, it would seem easier to just 3D print/replicate new drones. Faster too.

I can't think of any reason why the Borg would get rid of them. Easier and more efficient to just leave them be and not have the drones use them.

That's a comforting thought .

According to iborg, they have little replicator things in their bodies that convert energy into matter and nutrients. Male organs might be seen as vestigial.

You know, I just read that last word as 'vegetables'. I guess I'm craving broccoli right now...

I figured that if everyone acted like adults it'd go for a couple of pages, and except for a few hiccups, it's gone better than I expected.
