Spoilers Batwoman - Season 1

Batwoman will not stream on the CW App. It's for HBO Max. They knew that HBO Max was coming and they designed their Batwoman contracts around HBO Max's arrival before Batwoman Season 2.

Batwoman Season Two therefore is a streaming show, that is not fettered by the FCC, which doesn't mean that it has to go full Banshee, but Batwoman is a show about orientation, which on the road to sexuality, so why not show love scenes, if they are integral to the story?
Hmmm, no. BW is and will continue to be a CW series. The CW is co owned by CBS and WarnerMedia, but CBS is actually in charge of running it. And they struck the (now modified) deal granting Netflix exclusive post season streaming rights to CW shows, while in season rights (episodes added the day after broadcast) were allocated to the CW app. The altered streaming pact now grants post season rights of Warner Bros (the studio) produced shows to HBO Max, with CBS produced shows going to CBS All Access, starting with this past season.
All CW shows on the air before last fall, will continue to be made available to the CW app during the season, and will still go to Netflix at the end of each season.

Now is it possible that Warners (the studio) could spice things up by making nekkid booby amped versions of CW targeted shows that would wind up later on H-Max? Anything's possible, but it's highly unlikely they'd go to the expense.

When did they announce that Batwoman is going to be exclusively on HBOMax? All I've heard was that it would be on both it and The CW.

Yes, of course it is. The CW is the Arrowverse's home, and Batwoman is its most important new show, basically the replacement for Arrow. It isn't going anywhere.

That would be a ridiculous thing to expect. HBO Max may have some adult programming from HBO, but that hardly requires all its programming to become TV-MA. I mean, Netflix has a good number of shows with graphic nudity and violence, but it also has plenty of kids' shows suitable for 8-year-olds or even 3-year-olds, and of course plenty of shows in between at a TV-PG or TV-14 level.

If it does go to HBOMax exclusively, I can't see them going to much farther with the content than they did on The CW, they're not going to want to alienate all of the CW fans. Most of the shows that I've watched that started on a network or cable channel and switched to streaming, pretty much kept to the same content as they had on their original home, or at least didn't go to extreme with what they did add.

Google, google.

HBO Max will be the exclusive streaming home of TV shows produced by Warner television. These include CW shows like Batwoman, and the upcoming Riverdale spinoff Katy Keene. The other current CW series will remain on their streaming partners (mostly Netflix) until their run has ended.

You've never played monopoly?

"Exclusive streaming home" and "exclusive" are two very different things. Batwoman is still a CW show first and foremost, just because it's streaming on Warner's in-house platform, that happens to be named after HBO instead of, I don't know, "Warnervision" or something, doesn't have anything to do with it having HBO-levels of T&A.

Missed opportunity for Ruby's boobies. Do these theories come naturally or do you have to work for them?

It's more about where all the tattoo's go.

They loop and wrap around every thing.

Network TV broadcasts Game of Thrones, and the Sopranos without Boobs.

Even if they let Ruby keep her top on, which Anna Paquin on True Blood was allowed to do for a while until "only in scenes with my boyfriend, thank you"

This is not me obsessing on boobs.

This is me recognizing that most woman do not want to take their clothes off in front of a hundred million people, including their parents.

For season one of Masters of Sex, a boobless version of the show was zipped together just for Lizzy Caplan's parents, at the behest of Lizzy Caplan, which seems innocent and sweet, until the bill came in.

It worked out to be an extra 6 thousand dollars an episode, to sort that out.

My batshit theory, is "what's different" about season 2, that Ruby had to quit.

It also could have been money, if it's anticipated that the WB was going to make a lot of folding out of HBO Max, and Ruby wanted a big slice of that.

I've also seen Alice naked.

On TV.

Not in real life.

Sorry for the confusion.

All I meant was that the CW gets a Batwoman to air that is 45 minutes long, and HBO Max gets a 45minutes and 20 seconds long Batwoman to air.

20 seconds of original content for the streaming platform.

Its hardly any difference at all.

The only places to watch Batwoman are through your local CW affiliate, CWTV.Com, The CW app, or HBO Max.

The only places to watch the other 'current' Arrowverse series are through your local CW affiliate, CWTV.Com, The CW app, or Netflix.

I agree, but Our Man Guy has visions of a Red Shoe Diaries-ified Batwoman for next season. I just wanted him to lower his expectations. :)

I'm watching that at the mo, between this and that.

Superman & Lois is also on HBOMax and not Netflix.

So I guess we can expect tons of shirtless Clark. :D :p

Well, they do have kids in the Arrowverse, so I'd say we already got our answer.

Elseworlds established that Superman and Lois moved to Argo City so that he and Lois could conceive a child without risking a superpowered fetus killing Lois from within. And Crisis on Infinite Earths established that the Clark of Earth-167 (Smallville) gave up his superpowers permanently in order to start a family with Lois. So presumably in the post-Crisis history, Superman did give up his powers temporarily somehow in order for their children to be conceived.
