As weird as it is seeing a movie being made out of this board game, what really got my attention was the last line:

Other projects percolating for Berg, including "Dune" and "Hancock 2," will come later.

A new Dune movie? Will this one be interesting to watch? The other always put me to sleep.

How would Battleship: The Movie be anything other than a war movie involving two enemy fleets? Would the whole movie be the one battle stretched out for an hour and a half, or would there be more than one battle?

The heroic Captain standing defiantly on the deck of the little 2 space Destoyer has to be talking to the bad guy and say "You sank my Battleship!" "Prepare to Die.....KHAAAAANNNN!" No I made that last part up, but he has to say the battle ship line!

If any boardgame is begging to be made into a Tim Burton movie, it needs to be Candyland.

Clue was already made into a great movie, so I'm disappointed that they're making another. The rest will probably suck.

Yeah, this Battleship announcement made me think of that. I think they were correct that we're not far off from a 'Chutes 'N' Ladders' buddy-cop comedy movie starring Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson.
