:drool::drool::drool: This movie look like oscar material :drool::drool::drool:

When I initially saw the preview of this movie at SDCC I wasnt all that enthused, but lately I've been getting pretty pumped to see it. And you know what, I just might.

they did a special on it on the attack of the show . very cool . there is a movie on sci fi channel battle of los angeles this saturday at 8 pm .

The very first trailer had me really excited. The following trailers weren't as great, but I still plan on seeing it. The people I hang out with a lot are leaving town for Spring Break next week, so I think I may be going to lots of movies.

I'll be seeing it Sunday. Trailer looks amazing. I'm looking forward to some gritty war action against aliens with pretty much zero story :p

Skyline left a very bad taste in my mouth so I remain dubious to this movie.

I was thinking that anyone who saw the horrible Skyline movie may be turned off from seeing this film. I can't for see this movie doing to well at the box office, I could be wrong. See I will watch the film but I don't know if i want to waste money at the theater to see it.

Three typos (not counting the missing capitalization and colon) and you got the name of the movie wrong. I think this might be a subject-line record. :p

This movie is getting ripped to shreds.

Mostly, this is the cinematic equivalent of a first-person shooter game, one where the Marines possess only slightly more personality than the faceless invaders. -- Variety

The deadening and sometimes laughable litany of shouted military-style dialogue eventually pummels into submission any hope for fresh creative angles on this well-worn format. -- Hollywood Reporter

When I think of the elegant construction of something like "Gunfight at the OK Corral," I want to rend the hair from my head and weep bitter tears of despair. Generations of filmmakers devoted their lives to perfecting techniques that a director like Jonathan Liebesman is either ignorant of, or indifferent to. Yet he is given millions of dollars to produce this assault on the attention span of a generation. -- Roger Ebert

Rotten Tomatoes doesn't have many reviews up so far, so there are no good reviews yet from critics of note. Or Ben Lyons calling it the greatest movie he's ever seen. If it's really this bad, I'm guessing Armond White will love it though.

I was thinking about going to see it, but the early responses have me questioning that. I probably still will, but I'll regret every minute of it. If nothing else, though, I'll get to laugh at the awfulness.

Well, it's not as though we weren't warned. I mean, Battle: Los Angeles - what the fuck kind of title is that!? Would they have called Lord of the Rings... War: Middle Earth?! The Breakfast Club... Group Bonding: Shermer High?!  :p

I'm considering going to see it, regardless of the reviews. I could use a mindless action fest right about now.

Planning to see it this weekend.. Also planning to laugh my way through "Battle For Los Angeles" on SyFy on Saturday night..

I have a free pass to a screener tonight at 7:00pm so a coworker friend and I are going to check it out.
I have modest expectations.

Same here. Actually, there's a small group of us going - 7 or 8, I think - from work, and I'm hoping for another Splice. You know, laughably bad, where at some point an actor will look into the camera and wordlessly beg the audience to forget they were ever in this dreck. I could use another movie like that.
