You guys still playing this? I usually manage to play at least three games a day, sometimes more. Anyway, I wanted to brag... I just had the best game ever. 24 kills and 753 points.
For the most part I've given up on it. I still play now and then, but I suck so bad at it as it make almost zero fun for me. My games pretty much go like this spawn, die shortly therafter, rinse and repeat, with a sprinkling of a kill here and there or a flag capture/defend/assist now and then.
I really like the game, the design and concept and the style of play, but I don't care for the execution that much. The infantry rifle is way over powered. One of the things I hate about all of these games are the sniper rifles, I think it takes a lot of fun out of the game to be killed halfway across the map by an unseen enemy. (At the risk of insulting you that like the sniper rifles and are good with them, I think it's kind of a chickenshit way to play, but that's just me.) With the way they've made the rifle work, it's basically another sniper rifle. Especially since the game so handily puts the little triangles over your head so you stick out to your enemies.
The SMGs suck but frankly I can't hit shit with ANY of the machine guns in any form. Tanks, jeeps, mounted, or SMG it's all the same to me, useless. The AA guns are pretty good though.
I play it from time to time, but as soon as I finish a game I quit. It just isn't fun, it's annoying on many levels. Yet I go back.
Isn't that the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results?
