Battle Beyond the Stars Comic Book

I'm new here:)

Anyone remember the 1980 sci-fi Roger Corman produced movie Battle Beyond the Stars? It gave James Cameron his first big break in movies, featured a score by James Horner, had actors such as Richard Thomas, John Saxon, Robert Vaughn and George Peppard? It also had a famous space ship with breasts.

Well, it's coming back for it's 30th anniversary in the form of a prequel comic book called Battle Amongst the Stars. And I'm getting to write it as my first ever licensed comic gig!

More information on the book, in which issue 1 is being released in March please go here: http://www.bluewaterprod.com/news/2010_MARCH_releases.php

Sorry for the shameless plug. The 5-year-old in me is a happy boy :)

I vaguely recall seeing that Vincent Price comic somewhere.

Anyway, nicely done. I've heard of the movie, and the comic looks great.

@tronprogram are you still around? I was searching for any threads on Battle Beyond the Stars... i wiukd live to find out more about the prequel... and wonder how it compares to the world building of Rebel Moon, a new movie that feels like Battle...

I watch "Battle Beyond the Stars" whenever it comes on a channel I can get.

Where else will you ever see Morgan Woodward wearing alien makeup and latex?

I love that Robert Vaughn is basically playing his Magnificent Seven character but in space. Very meta.
