Cordless drill
Then, if batteries are so quite convenient, then why aren't more cars out there operating solely under battery power?

And who killed them?

Let's see, two wii motes, one wireless 360 controller, four or five remotes (TV, DVD/VCR, sound system, Roku, etc), smoke detector, three Star Trek models, three digital cameras (well five or six counting the flip cameras, and one really old one), a few GBC/GBAs (though not used on a daily basis)

Those are just things with removable batteries. Those with internal batteries, um three laptops, four DSs, one kindle, and probably a few more.

70 sounds about right.

I get by with 15: two each in 4 remotes, two in a flashlight, one in each of my two watches, and three in my dinosaur of a portable CD player.

I'm bored enough to count mine.

2 desktop computers (CMOS batteries)
4 in 2 laptops (CMOS battery plus Li-ion battery)
1 in phone
1 in wireless trackball
2 in wireless keyboard
2 in another wireless keyboard
2 in graphics tablet pen
6 in TV/DVD remotes
3 in CO detector
1 in smoke alarm
4 in synthesizer
3 in portable speaker
2 in beard trimmer
2 in digital camera
1 in MP3 player
1 in Nintendo DS

That's 37. Yeesh! Twice as many as I thought, and it doesn't count any of my kids' toys.

Let's see:

3 remotes: 3 batteries each.
My reading light: 3 batteries
My girlfriend's reading light: 3 batteries
My flashlight: 2 batteries (I don't use this daily though, so I'm not sure if it counts)
My girlfriend's walkman: 2 batteries
The smoke detector: one battery.

That's a total of 15 batteries.

Is that considered alot?

Yes, flashlights do count. this thread is about all batteries used not just ones used daily.

You computer doesn't use batteries?

Oh, right. I forgot my laptop completely. I didn't count it though since I rarely use it away from my recliner (which is where I am right now), and always keep it plugged in.

Okay, 16 then.

Hell! Now that I think of it I missed a whole bunch.

2 Laptops = 2 Batteries
4 Watches = 4 Batteries
2 Cars = 2 Batteries
1 Smoke Alarm = 1 Battery
2 Flashlights = 4 Batteries
1 Swiffer = 2 Batteries
2 Christmas Ornaments = 3 Batteries
1 Digital Thermometer = 2 Batteries

Grand Total: 20
Plus the 45 I counted before = 65. So yeah, 70 is pretty close to the mark.

cell phones, 2
remote batteries..12
1 netbook battery
Maglight batteries 5
clock batteries..3 including 1 back-up battery
Smoke/CO detectors 3..9 volts each

26 batteries total...

Let's see:

1 in Laptop
1 in old PC, that I don't use anymore
6 in remotes
2 for Digital Camera
3 for my laptop tray
1 for mobile phone
1 for watch
1 for smoke detector

So that is 16 for me.

1 in laptop
3 in PCs
18 in remote controls
6 in digital camera/video camera
2 in cordless phones
3 in cell phones
4 in power tools
10 in clocks
24 in flashlights
4 in camera flash
3 in MP3 players
8 in watches
3 in vehicles
4 in wireless keyboard and mouse
1 in laptop wireless mouse
1 in riding lawn mower
12 in caller ID boxes
I'm sure I'm forgetting something but I don't know what it is.
