Batman: Year One...

Last night I watched Green Lantern: Emerald Knights. I quite enjoyed it.

But I must say that the preview feature for Batman: Year One is what really got me excited. I understand this is supposed to come out this summer?

I can't freakin' wait! :techman:

Later this fall actually. GL:Emerald Knights is actually considered their summer release. Probably Oct sometime...and I'm excited for "Batman: Year One" as well. There was another thread somewhere...guess it got lost.

I'm really loking forward to it, too. As an aside, Eliza Dushku looked even prettier than usual in the preview. :adore:

The release date is September 27th.

Looks good

Any idea when we can expect to see the trailer online? I think I'm almost as excited for this as I am any of the theatrical releases this year. I haven't read the comic arc yet, but I'll watch it just for Bryan Cranston, Eliza Dushku (how perfect is she for Catwoman? I could even see that working in a live action movie) and Katee Sackhoff.

The sneak peak featurette was online but was immediately taken down by Warner Bros. Those stills aren't new ones but still very impressive and yes it's supposed to be a very close adaption.

"Father... I'm afraid I may have to die tonight."

I keep getting this image of Kurtwood Smith as Thomas Wayne, shaking his head and muttering "Dumbass!" He throws a dead bat through the window and it smacks Bruce in the head.

I stumbled across an article earlier today while searching for the movie on Yahoo, and it said that they were using panels from the comics as references for camera angles and such. I think it might have been on either MTV's entertainment blog, or Comic Book Resources.

^ Yep I recall reading that as well. I'm excited for this as I was "All Star Superman" and "Justice League Doom" next year.

TV Guide had a pic revealing the design of Catwoman in the 15-minute short attached to Batman: Year One:

Eliza Dushku voices the character in both the movie and the short. The short is directed by Lauren Montgomery and written by Paul Dini. It features a villain named Rough Cut, created for the short, voiced by John DiMaggio.
