^ But we can dip in and out of the thread here at our leisure, skip through posters, etc.

I personally just can't imagine sitting down for the length of an average TV programme to listen to a review of one film but each to their own.

True, but to complain about it like some is illogical. Just don't watch it.

It depends on how interesting the reviewers are:

At the risk of inciting a DC v Marvel war, this is my favourite Sadfleck parody yet:

A lot of people keeping wondering what the reaction BvS will mean for the DCEU, but I think the reactions to Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman will be even more important. Those will the first to move away from Zack Snyder and MOS, so there is a chance that they could win back the people who didn't like his movies. But I think if those fail to do the numbers WB is hoping for then I could see some big changes, or possibly even an end to the DCEU.

An interesting article from Screenrant on how BvS numbers are slightly deceiving (same day worldwide day of release), why WB should worry (the large drop off over the weekend could signal larger drop off next weekend), and why WB shouldn't worry (lack of real competition, citing moving away from Civil War's release date as a smart move).

I did too.. I was never one of those who decried him being chosen, but I have to admit I was curious.. Turns out he was fantastic. I thought his Bruce Wayne was even better.. He was a detective... Solving pieces of a puzzle.. it was neat to see.

I thought it was funny, talking to a friend of mine. She is dying to see the movie, but has no one to go with. Her boyfriend is a die-hard Marvel fan and in her words, he "doesn't do DC movies."

Is this really a thing? I mean, I can understand a Cowboys fan not wanting to go see an Eagles game, or a Met's fan balking (har har) at seeing the Yankees.. But is the Marvel vs. DC thing really that real for some people?

That article is a good example of on how this movie was received by the majority of the press, i.e. with an extreme negative bias.

It starts of with an alarming title, it dismisses any good news about the movie as "deceiving", it goes on to predict further failure, and if such failure does not happen it can't be because the movie might be good or interesting to some people, it's because "there's nothing else on."

Just as real as it is for the Cowboys fan. You pick a team you love (Marvel or DC) and the other becomes THEM, and you don't support THEM over your pick.

Some of us aren't high-falutin' enough to be philosophical about it. I'll watch a DC movie, cause there are some DC characters I like, but I prefer Marvel and always have, and I haven't seen anything on TV or in theaters that will make me change my mind

Watched it this weekend: B+ grade

I had some issues with pacing, resolution and the narrative in places but overall I enjoyed myself and would see it again. Mainly to see if my thoughts on the first 1/2 hold. I do feel that like TDK the longer narrative upfront will make for a more tedious re-watch. Once you've absorbed the info a time or two all that exposition upfront, not broken up by enough action scenes, tends to make me skip ahead. I do that on TDK all the time.
The Marvel films seem to have, by and large, a better pacing of their story while inter splicing modest action sequences throughout.

The comic fan in me was largely pleased. It did a solid if not great job with it's cameo introductions. Making them part of the plot and not shoehorned in. I'm very eager for Wonder Womans solo and for those who saw the film will likely know the key scene near the end where I feel they wasted an opportunity to give Aquaman a more viable spot in this film, even if briefly.

The critic hate is hard for me to grasp. I'd think an RT score in the mid/high 70's would be fair.

If the film is anything like this, I will be thrilled. :)

No, it isn't, thank God. But it is entertaining as a retroactive and retrospective trailer showing what one would have been like back in the 1980's and early-to-mid 1990's.

As for the film, I loved it, and the critics/other fans/whomever else hates it can bite me.
