Batman: The Brave and the Bold scheduling and production news

It's about time we get some female superheroes on this show. So far I think the only speaking female character in the entire series (other than a brief Martha Wayne appearance in flashback) has been Fire, and she only spoke in the teaser of one episode, making a very brief cameo.

Huntress was heavily featured in an episode along with Blue Beetle (as well as Black Canary, who was just a cameo).

^Yes, but at the time I wrote the post you're responding to (which was March 8), the Huntress/Black Canary episode had not yet aired. In fact, my post was written to express approval for the news that those characters would be appearing in what was then an upcoming episode.

When is this great cartoon coming back?? ITS BEEN FOREVER!!!
No announcement from Cartoon Network yet. Based on their airing patterns in the past, the last four episodes of the initial 26 will likely air in late September/October, with the second round of 26 episodes starting soon thereafter in November.

Upcoming characters include the Spectre, the Phantom Stranger, Enemy Ace, Detective Chimp, the Haunted Tank, Vixen, Captain Marvel and the Marvel Family, Viking Prince, Firestorm, the Metal Men, the Doom Patrol, B'Wanna Beast, Starro, and G.I. Robot.

Tara Strong will voice Billy Batson, while Jeff Bennett will voice Captain Marvel.

Ah...well then.

I blame error on Nero and Red Matter...

:shifty:

I've only seen a few episodes, but I've enjoyed them. It does kind of capture the just plain fun feel of the old Saturday morning superhero shows withouth the mind-numbing dialogue (I listened in the other day while my roomie was playing an old 70's batman cartoon. Dear God.).

Will most likely pick this up when it comes out on dvd.

Tucker isn't dying to use Superman[/url]; so we may end up not seeing big blue represented. :(

No, since the show is called The Brave & The Bold, not World's Finest (aka Superman/Batman, or The New Batman/Superman Adventures) which already aired on the WB and Cartoon Network years ago.

I didn't like this show at first, as I'm more used to the serious Batman in TAS and in the newer The Batman cartoon. But it's started to grow on me. When I was a kid, I loved the team-up books at DC and Marvel, and had dozens of Brave & the Bold comics. I still fondly remember the first Batman & Demon team-up, as up to that point, only Jack Kirby drew him. Jim Aparo, long-time B&B artist, did a scary rendition of the Demon. If I can find a panel from that issue, I'll post it. -- RR

Jim Aparo is one of my favorite artists..got to meet him years ago before he died and had the chance to thank him for all the great B & B memories...

Oh, I am SO JEALOUS. Mr. Aparo is/was one of my all-time favourite artists as well, and I'll always regret never getting to meet him. For me, Aparo (along with Neal Adams) did the definitive Batman.

My son, five years old, worships mr. aparo. We compete all the time to see who can draw the best Jim Aparo batman emblem...its hard to do!!!
