Batman: The Brave and the Bold scheduling and production news

Power Girl was featured in the first issue of B:TBaTB.

If she ever appeared in the show, I would love to see Katie Sackhoff provide the voice :)

I thought the finale was the best episode yet. I really didn't expect to see almost every single hero and villain yet introduced used in one episode! Pretty cool. And Bats teaming up with the Joker is certainly something you don't see every day. And the multiverse Bats at the end was a cool twist as well. I recognized the Kelly Jones vamp-Bat character, but what about the one with the funny little robo eyes? Was that how Bats looked in that one "kids POV" chapter of the Gotham Knight anime dvd?

Not even remotely. The imaginary Robo-Batman of "Have I Got a Story For You" was huge, a walking tank. I was wondering if it might be based on the Jean-Paul Valley Batman from the Knightfall comics storyline.

I like the Brave and the Bold, very comic booky in a good way. Batman in daylight.

This Batman is best since BTAS version (and I mean BTAS, not the excessively brooding Batman that he became in later Timmverse shows). Also it's different that we hear Batman's thoughts, too.

Not sure about this take on the Joker, mainly the voice doesn't gell. Eh, I'll get used to it. I got used to The Batman's take on the character.

From previews and interviews the producers have given it seems that the next 13 episodes will feature:

The Question, Adam Strange, Aquaman, Gorilla Grodd, Etrigan, the Gentleman Ghost, Bat-Mite, Red Tornado, the Outsiders, Bathound, Catwoman, the Riddler, Robin, Calendar Man, Zebra Man, Black Canary, Booster Gold and Skeets, Firestorm, the Flash, the Huntress, Blue Beetle, and the Justice Society of America.

The Bat-Mite episode is witten by Paul Dini, and one of the episodes is going to be a musical.

It's about time we get some female superheroes on this show. So far I think the only speaking female character in the entire series (other than a brief Martha Wayne appearance in flashback) has been Fire, and she only spoke in the teaser of one episode, making a very brief cameo.

There was also Katana in "Enter the Outsiders!". Although she was mostly silent through the episode, she's the female character with the most screen time so far.

But, yes, the series does need more superheroines.

It would be interesting to see how they would tackle Batwoman.

Sneak up from behind and pounce? :D

Call me a traditionalist, but I'd rather see Batgirl. Or at least Barbara Gordon. Since we've already seen a couple of different animated incarnations of Batgirl, it would be cool if we could see Oracle on this show. She could be the mastermind who coordinates all the teamups. Having a woman in such a commanding position, even if she makes only brief appearances, could help make up for the lack of female presence in the show so far.

I was going to mention Batgirl but I didn't just because I'd like to see someone less utilized, like Batwoman. It would almost be interesting to see the Silver Age Batwoman, but portray her more like the tough modern Batwoman. Somehow I doubt they would be able to reference her as a lesbian, though, but even so, it would be enough for me to have her one-up Batman in some way. Perhaps even a slightly revised origin, showing how Batwoman is inspired by Batman to become a vigilante in his style.

I'd really like to see Power Girl appear as well, and I agree that Katee Sackhoff would be an excellent choice.

Another of the upcoming issues of the comic book tie-in will feature the original Captain Marvel, and I'd freakin' love to see him appear in the TV show.

Oh come on. At least they tried to do the Joker well in this show. The Batman just turned him into a crazed monkey who fell into a makeup drawer.

For what it's worth, Bennett does a wonderful job in this show.
