This gag has been done and by DC themselves in an elseworld tale - instead of a bat, a woman crashes through his window on the faithful night and he becomes Woman-man*.


* to confuse matters further, if I remember it correctly, it has Brainaic 5 as Bruce Wayne.
 
Just a joke about the rational that a reboot can change everything.

Also a comment about how some guys feel very threatened by strong women. So that would be the real way to scare them!
 
Me, I'm fond of the issue of Marvel's "What the--?!" that features Bruce Wayne in his study, thinking about what image to use to scare criminals. At that instant, crashing through his study window, comes--

-- a baseball. He looks out his window and this kid says, "Sorry, mister. I was just hitting my ball with this bat."

Bruce: "That's it! I shall become a..."

and it segues into this splash page of "Bat-man", decked out in a black, caped baseball uniform and whacking people with a baseball bat.

At the bottom was a cease-and-desist order supposedly from DC's legal department.
