News Batman Prequel ‘Pennyworth’ gets series order At Epix

I really wish this was streaming somewhere for free legally. I know the first season is available to buy, but I'm trying to limit entertainment purchases right now.
I just bought Season 1 on iTunes (albeit in Canada) as it is one of their discounted "series of the week" for 9.99$CDN. Might be worth a look on US iTunes to see if it's also available at discount (not free, but if it comes under 8$US, might still be worth considering).

Enjoy! It’s a blast.

There are places with open libraries?
The one up the street from me is open, but you have to wear a mask, and you can only be inside for an hour. All the classes and activities are cancelled. Pretty much everything is open here.

Me too. I've been curious about it since people seem to like it, but I don't get EPIX, and I haven't bought the seasons. I almost bought the first season a couple times, but now I'm glad I didn't.

There was a free tease of the first few episodes of Season One that I caught. Got me hooked and then....

I checked out the first season DVD set from the library. I mostly enjoyed it but once I heard that it might move to HBO Max I decided to hold off on watching season 2 until then.

The conversation here simply evaporated for season 2, even though we seemed to have all enjoyed the finale of 1...

Catching up on HBOMax this weekend. Noted that the street the Pennyworths live is named Micklewhite. Michael Caine was borne Maurice Micklewhite.

Season two has gone heavily in Alt History territory.

This show is still going? I only got like three episodes into the first season before I lost interest. Not badly made or poor acting or anything (even the writing wasn't bad) the plot just didn't grip me, and the weird anachronisms just kept taking me out of the story.
I know there's supposed to be some kind of alt history thing going on akin to BTAS's "what if the 40's never ended" vibe, but the result just feels like an outsider's depiction of England based solely on a mishmash of old media and out-dated preconceptions.
