Batman; I cried

I actually loved the BRAVE AND THE BOLD musical last night..I am a softie at heart, and that ballad that Batman/Black Canary dueted on was..well..very touching..I didn't cry, but my heart was a flutter....

This was, without out a doubt, the biggest risk for an animated show, and they pulled it off..EMMY award quality songs and a great story and...Love story ending for Canary and Green Arrow...

I thought the songs were surprisingly good, though I did get sick of hearing "I'm the Music Meister" :p Black Canary's singing... half the time it was beautiful half the time it sounded bad.

This was wild and a lot of fun. They just totally cut loose and went crazy here, and that's fun to see. They didn't even bother to stick with the pretense of the MM's powers causing the singing; even after Batman gave his Bat-earplugs to the other heroes, they went on singing just for the hell of it, apparently. And there were so many fun in-jokes, in both visuals and lyrics. I liked the nods to the Batusi and shark repellent (from the Adam West series and film, respectively).

The lyric was repetitive, true, but the music and Neil Patrick Harris's singing were superb in that number.

I wouldn't say "bad," but I'll agree that Grey DeLisle's singing was a little too reedy in some of her numbers. But she definitely did a lovely job in the first act.

I also thought Kevin Michael Richardson sang quite well in his brief lines as Black Manta. It's a shame he didn't have more to do. And it's a shame Tara Strong's Huntress wasn't in this; I would've loved to hear her sing.

When Black Canary and Green Arrow ended up in a romantic duet at the end, it took me a while to remember that they're a couple in the comics; this GA is a Golden/Silver Age design that's so different from the more modern Oliver Queen I'm familiar with that I didn't make the connection at first.

I do recall that when the villains rushed the heroes they showed them pulling out the ear plugs.

I missed that. I was a bit bugged that they showed the heroes getting the plugs, and then ignored them.

not me...im glad the forgot about them..the music/whimsical stuff is what carried this episode...I am calling it a classic already..

I fell asleep through this one twice, seeing only the beginning both times. Batman says he doesn't want help...that's it. The perils of watching t.v. in bed.

Music Meister...fear his wrath! Ummm...no.

I thought the songs were universally bad. The score seemed full of songs with meandering melodies that went nowhere of interest. The part with Batman in the sing-off was real cringey. If it's a musical, I gotta like the songs or the whole thing just doesn't work for me.

I didn't know until reading this thread that Neil Patrick Harris singing the villain part. I do recall liking the character's voice. Talented guy.

Well, I could not disagree more. The songs, IMO, were perfect and were riddled with subtle styles. And, as a romantic musical, it pays off at the end with GA and BC...

If you don't like movies like Moulon Rouge (which this episode totally invoked) then yeah, it isn't for you.

But for the corndogs in the world, like me, this movie clicks on all counts...

Great episodes..and for a 22 minute musical, with superheroes and bad guys, totally on target...

It is currently available on XBOX i just found out..so if you missed it, its there..

The songs from this classic episode can now be purchased on ITUNES..a soundtrack has been released, proving again just HOW special this episode was..kudos to the BATMAN BRAVE AND THE BOLD team...
