Batman Beyond #1 (minor spoiler and a question)

@House of Ulster that is considered a separate Batman Beyond continuity as discussed previously in this thread. The ongoing is it's own entity altogether.

The first arc of the new ongoing is finished, and... eh, it was OK. If the JL are going to be recurring, then I hope they get a little more development. I am glad that, even though he hasn't appeared in the new book yet, that they haven't forgotten Dick Grayson...

He is wanted for questioning in the recent "Hush" murders. Of course, this incarnation of Hush was a Grayson clone. Bruce hears about it on the news.

.. and that he is now part of the "Batman Beyond" family.

Slightly OT-- I recently saw "Epilogue" for the first time (I watched it out of order from my complete Justice League DVD set in honor of the late Dwayne McDuffie), and was sufficiently impressed. I was told that it would change everything that I thought I knew about Terry McGinness, and that was pretty much true.

The only thing that I don't get is why...

...Amanda Waller would feel the need to keep all of those Dick Grayson clones when she knew that Terry was out there. Or, given that she started with the clones before "creating" Terry, why she bothered "creating" Terry in the first place. She also seemed much more reasonable and, well, sane in "Epilogue" than she did in the recent mini.

I sadly decided to drop the book. Just wasn't doing anything for me. The plot was meh and the use of the Justice League I thought was pointless.
