Hopefully, in Star Trek XII it will be revealed that the Big Eyed Doctor had a daughter of her own, perhaps fathered by a human or other small eyed species. And that daughter, now all grown up and in Starfleet and by chance now stationed on the Enterprise, by the miracle of Trek genetics just happens to look exactly like her mother in every respect except her eyes...which instead just happen to look exactly the eyes of the actress who played her mother, allowing Ms Henry to play the role without CGI or prosthetics.

Where she'd be stationed? I'm thinking sickbay—but maybe Kirk would just monopolise all the hotties on the bridge
