I think someone needs to learn what retroactive means... While I definitely support what President Obama is doing on the global stage, he hasn't accomplished a whole lot yet.

It's too early in his career for him to win it but as an American citizen it's nice to see my president win the Nobel Peace Prize.

In a word, YES! If President Obama had managed to convince Ahmadinejad (more importantly the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei) to get rid of Iran's nuclear program that would have been an actual accomplishment worthy of the Nobel Prize.

Don't get me wrong- I love my President- but I think it's way too early to give him this award. And I don't like the fact that the committee admitted that it was to enourage him rather than to award him for past accomplishments.
Besides- I don't think he even qualifies. I heard he doesn't even have a valid Norwegian birth certificate.

Yeah, same here. I remember watching all the Bond films as a kid and having totally different understanding of them than I do know. From Russia With Love had cool locations and awesome villains but the plot confused my 7/8 year old mind.
