Bajoran Fighter Pictorial at Drex Files

It's so cute.

"With your eyes, Lieutenant, not your pants!"

One wonders how they did the nose landing gear that, in addition to the wingtips, seems to support the model when landed on that Bajoran moon. Neither this skid nor an attachment point for it seems to be visible on the model.

The change of the cockpit piece is interesting. As filmed in "The Siege", the craft was really small, the "canopy" actually being but a tiny porthole through which Kira could peer rather than an actual canopy under which she could sit. The changed piece is obviously an attempt to give the craft a cockpit that would be modifiable from the Type 6 shuttle prop - meaning a significantly larger vehicle.

What would the mod have been for? Did the craft make a repeat appearance at some point or what? In some Mirror universe ep, perhaps?

I was just rewatching the first Worf mirror show, and in that Bashir and Dax fly a little ship, might be this one.

Nope - I thought so too, but that craft was the Maquis/Starfleet fightercraft rather than the Bajoran resistance one. Although it, too, had a cockpit job done on it - previously, the interior had been that of the old TNG shuttlepod, but now it was a reworked runabout cockpit, suggesting a much larger craft. Then again, almost all of the ships in "Shattered Mirror" were of weird sizes not corresponding to their "normal universe" ones...
