Baddest A$$ in Trek

So who is it? Who's the best close-in fighter/handheld weapons fighter/thinking, tactical fighter? I am excluding 4 individuals/types from this discussion: Data/Lore and all other Soong androids, and Mudd androids, and Ruk, because they have nearly unbeatable advantages, NuTrek Khan, same thing, any Changeling, same thing, and the Doctor/any photonic, whom we have seen can, reasonably enough, take unlimited physical punishment without harm.

Otherwise anyone is game. Could be a Jem'hadar. Could be Worf. Me, I say James Kirk. I think a dirty-fighting Kirk COULD beat Spock. And I am pretty sure he'd just embarrass Worf.

Winning is what's important. It doesn't matter how unconventional or dirty it gets. Eg, KIrk is better than the Gorn, even though the Gorn was obviously so much stronger (but slow as honey pouring in reverse). Kirk won, and that's what matters.

Maybe vs's would clarify: Garak vs Worf. Garak v Nerys. Sisko vs Prime Kirk. Jadzia vs 7 of 9, Jadzia vs Captain Tracey (Omega Glory, he was pretty badass), etc.

I saw NuTrek Khan take hits without even blinking that Prime Khan could never have taken. The way Kirk beat Khan in Space Seed? With that tool? That would never have worked on NuTrek Khan.

Sisko, because a big part of being a badass is the doubt you keep people in about what you're going to do next, and the shock value of when you do it.

You know kirk is going to kick ass and sleep with beautiful women.

You know kira is going to fight harder the more you back her into a corner.

You know Worf is going to act strong but get his arse kicked most weeks

You don't know if Sisko is going to invoke federation law, deliver a smack in the mouth or hatch a masterplan of vengeance that goes against everything that's meant to be right.

Although the same argument works for garak.
