That's fine, I'm just saying he is right wing, more specifically he's neo-conservative, which is an ideology I generally find distasteful (YMMV). That said, I know many wonderful conservatives who are kind, patient, and polite with others who do not share their beliefs, so Schultz isn't indicative of them, only for himself. It's just that I find his views disappointing, though I try not to let it color his characters.
I felt the same when I discovered many of my 1960s counterculture idols like Jon Voight and Peter Fonda have turned into bitter hard-right conservatives.
I guess it's true what they say - you get more right wing as you get older. Perhaps I have a little too
What you thinkWorst of all, it looked suspiciously like he wrote "****" on mine. As a signature it certainly didn't look like his name at least.
No biggie if it's consistent with his other signatures. If he's slipping a naughty word in there, it's not just aimed at you.
I started going to local conventions last fall because Shatner was at it, and got him to sign my Khan DVD. He was great with the ten year old boy in front of me and let me say a quick word to him even though he was obviously in a rush to get through the very big line. It was after this that I bought a gorgeous Star Trek franchise poster from the 25th anniversary and decided to go around getting signatures on it. I've got nine now - 6 TOS guest stars, one FC/VOY actress, and Rene Auberjonis and John De Lancie. I haven't had a bad experience yet. They were all professional.
By the end of the year I should have around 15, including Shatner, Nichols, and Takei. I'd upload a pic but I don't know how.
What's the 25th Ann poster you have? (lately I been trying to get this Tom Jung one. https://www.cinematerial.com/media/posters/sm/jg/jgld3g7k.jpg?v=1456641845 First saw it in the starlog 25th anniversary magazine backin '91! Must've been the inspiration for the Generations poster)
That is a pretty cool poster
You are so lucky! I would have very much wanted to hear that.At a con in Boston in 82 a few fans and I were stuck in a elevator with Jimmy Doohan for quite a while. He was utterly charming, regaling us with stories about Trek, landing on D-Day, and raft of other tales. A very funny and gracious man he was.
