Spoilers Bad Batch Season 3 - February 21st

It's fascinating how willing this show is to do entire episodes in which its title characters never appear. That's quite rare.
Undoubtedly that's why they aired two episodes today, instead of the one without any of the leads. Just like last time.

I say weird because this is the same franchise which has shown children being slaughtered yet that never phased me.
I think it comes down to presentation.

Cad kidnapping the baby was a quiet, focused moment that didn't skip a beat.

The slaughtering of the Jedi children was part of a sweeping montage with the classic bombastic music and we didn't actually see the moment.

I think he just stunned her unconscious. Bane is a killer - when he needs to be. This didn't feel like a "need to kill" moment.

Bane's in it for the money. Killing the mother isn't part of the deal, so there is no reason to kill her.

The guy with the nice hat...Bane wanted that hat, plus its one less rival for whatever Dooku is doing. (plus the guy might have also had a bounty on his head, so maybe Bane collected that later).

The way the camera lingered on the mother's unmoving body from the baby's POV certainly felt to me like she was meant to be dead. I didn't notice any sign that she was breathing.

Given how ruthless and secretive Hemlock's people are in pursuing their quarry, I wouldn't be surprised if Bane was under orders to kill the parents in order to silence them.

As noted, Bane did shoot her with a stun blast. Though I did think that odd, that he would bother being that considerate. My guess is he didn't want to risk harming the child since his payday depended on the child being alive and went in with his weapon on a stun setting.

They're likely planning a joyous reunion at some point.
I wonder what Nala Se meant we she got Emerie to wonder whether she herself had the power to protect the children? Just what power was Nala Se thinking of?
The power of doing the right thing, I guess.

Oh, that's right -- SW uses those "smoke ring" stun blasts so you can tell the difference. I missed that, I guess.

Well, assuming she's stunned, it could be that they intend to follow up in the story with the mother. Perhaps she will provide a clue regarding the location of Omega, by way of Bane.

They could fake a call from Bane claiming to have another target to pick up, then take over the ship when it arrives, that's probably when Emerie switches sides.

I think if it was that easy to trick and ambush Cad Bane, he'd have been killed long ago.
If I understand it correctly, he's not talking about tricking Bane, he's talking about tricking the Empire into thinking they're going to meet Bane for one of the bounties that have been posted.

Exactly, in fact it doesn't even need to be "from Cad Bane" they could call as any bounty hunter who has access to the bounty sheet.

New species design, or one of the newer background designs that I just don't recognise of-hand?
The species is from Solo, but they didn't get a name (at the very least a publicly known name) until the episode guide for this episode.

The droid fueling the ship was voiced by Matt Lanter, who voices Anakin in most voice over projects since Clone Wars.

Still; you have to imagine *any* class 1 bounty hunter would smell a set-up a mile away. Nobody gets to that level by being either careless or gullible. Even if it worked; all that does it get them to the hand-off point, and face to face with a squad of Clone Commandos.

All that said; there's a small chance this is where Boba could enter the story? I doubt it, but it's possible.

I *HATE* Cad Bane! He is so unrelentingly nasty!

I loved Wrecker saving the droid.

Argh. How are they going to wrap this up in two episodes???
