Spock, to Kirk and Gillian, explaining what he was doing swimming with the whales.

"That's the beauty of it."

Kirk to Spock about selling the glasses in The Voyage Home.

"I never read it."

I hope I'm right when I say...Lily Sloan re: Moby Dick, after giving Picard static about Capt. Ahab and his Whale, First Contact.

"I guess his...heart wasn't in it."

"We must respond personally!"

I may be wrong (I'm not sure) but wasn't it Chekhov in TUC, when faced with a Klingon outpost asking for the Enterprise's destination? The rest of the line was something like, "The universal translator would be recognised," and led to Uhura talking garbled Klingon.

"Hello, Alice!"

"I hope you're happy."

Kirk to Spock, after Kirk's efforts towards diplomacy with the meal the Klingons, TUC.

"He did have pointed ears."

Would that be Picard to Troi during his best man speech, following her suggestion that she would brief the new counsellor on him, in Nemesis?

"You've got your ship and I've got mine."

^ Khan, pissing off Kirk in ST: TWOK, who should have already known at this point that he wasn't really trapped.

"Let's see what she's got he said. And then we found out, didn't we?"

Okay, so this line's been here a week, it's time for a wild guess.

Was it Spock to Kirk, someplace in The Voyage Home? If I remember correctly, Kirk's reply was "You would have done the same."

Not sure, but hey, it must be worth a guess now.

Something easy to get things moving again...

"Does anyone remember when we used to be explorers?"

Kirk thinking 3-dimensionally in TWOK

^ Mine was indeed Spock to Kirk but at the end of TSFS

How do we know he didn't invent the thing?

Scotty to McCoy (or vice versa) dicussing the ethics of time travel, and the invention of transparent aluminium in TVH.

(Incidentally, wasn't "Z plus five degrees" Kirk's command to take the Enterprise alongside Gorkon's flagship in TUC? In TWOK, I thought the command was Z plus so-many-thousand feet? I don't have the info to hand.)

Whatever... on with the show.

"I am therefore going anyway."

Kirk regarding his 'Kobayashi Maru' code-named mission to find the very young Genesis-regenerated Spock who just happened to soft-land... on Genesis... and, well... get regenerated... in TSFS

^Probably right about the Z's (meters in TWOK I think)

The antenna leads are melted away!
