Baby L.J. Akarr

I imagine little baby Akaar must know he's in the episode. I can't imagine his parents didn't show him the ep at some point. "See that baby on STAR TREK? That's you!"

Surely he's bragged to somebody about it at some point. "You know, I was in the original STAR TREK. No, really."

Unless he grew up to be completely uninterested in Trek . . . .

He (or she for that matter) might have been the child of one of the people on the crew as well, brought in as an extra for 15 minutes to do the close up. There has to be waivers for that sort of thing, since not too many infants are card carrying members of SAG.

As a footnote, the late Phyllis Douglas (Yeoman Mears) was in "Gone With The Wind". I believe that she was 4 years old at the time.

She was less than 3 according to her wiki page, as one of the little girls to play Bonnie Blue Butler, Rhett and Scarlet's baby.

Didn't the actor who portrayed the infant Kal-El in the 1978 Superman movie, grow up to be a relatively well-known actor in his own right, today? I can't remember his name but I'm almost sure it did happen.

IMDB lists actors playing baby Kal-el and baby Clark Kent. The actor playing Kal-el died at 14. The actor playing Clark had roles in Superman III and Man of Steel.

If they did then I'd be surprised the baby LJ Akaar "actor" didn't try to cash in on the convention circuit. I could see it now, "In Person, Baby Akaar. Tickets $25. Autograph $30. Picture and autograph $50. Meet and greet $100." ... And convention goers would pay it to! :guffaw:

And the actual soiled diaper from the episode, $1000.00!
