"It was already a packed flight from Amsterdam to Boston, but passengers and crew were more than happy to make room for one extra person this morning when a Ugandan woman gave birth to a baby girl.

When the flight landed at Logan International Airport at 10:30 a.m., mother and daughter were whisked by ambulance to Massachusetts General Hospital, where they are reported to be doing well.

Customs officials said that Sasha was deemed a Canadian citizen, because she was born over Canadian airspace. The name of the mother was not released."

Now do the parents have to pay a full child's fare? Or was the baby considered "carry-on baggage"?

The mom has to go to Gitmo too...I'm betting she had more than 3 ounces of liquid released just before delivery!

^^ You can't really expect there to be no joking around.

As for me, I'm happy to welcome an extra visitor to the Hub of the Universe-- even if she is Canadian. ;)

Well, I didn't expect you to go ballistic. Haha. "Ballistic." Get it? Never mind....

Hey, I have nothing against Canadians. It's almost like they're people, too.

But I've got to wonder why she was flying that late in her pregnancy. Immigration, maybe? At any rate, I'm glad the baby was born healthy and there weren't any complications.
