Axe ad banned for offending Christians

I use a spray from the Body Shop but only enough that you have to pretty much be on top of me to smell it. So the only person who ever smells it is my wife and she loves it.

On topic, I usually hate all the Axe ads but this one was not bad. Axe still smells like ass though and I've never met a woman who actually likes it.

Hmm. Apparently they were discontinued in 2002. I honestly can't remember ever seeing a Mars bar in my entire life. I always thought they were some relic of the ancient candybar past.

Even when we did have them in the US, they must not have been very popular. I know I've never had one, and I can't remember ever seeing them in stores. I say that as someone who has eaten many, many candy bars.

In the United States.

Seriously? No joke?

It's a different type of chocolate bar - it gets confused because the same names are used for different things in different countries. What you think of as a Mars bar is most similar to the Milky way in the US (just to add to the confusion, the european milky way is similar to an american 3 Musketeers bar).

I don't think the american mars bar has any sort of equal in Europe.

If a UK Mars bar is similar to a US Milky Way, I think the US Snickers bar is the more popular confection here in the states.

There would be "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood", and you can't tell me Mr. Rogers doesn't totally kick ass.

I have Christian relatives who wouldn't let their kids watch the show because they thought he was gay, satanic, and a pedophile. (Because all gays are pedophiles, and all pedophiles are satanists.)

True story. Needless to say I don't talk to those relatives much.
I don't even understand how it's possible to think that about Mr. Rogers. The man was married to the his wife for almost fifty-one years and they had two children. He was an ordained Presbyterian minister. He was as far away from what your relatives thought as is possible. I'm genuinely stunned. How can someone think that about Mr. Rogers?

Possibly because of the sheer number of priests (and now, coaches) who engaged in pedophilia?

A minister with young children who was around puppets, took children on trips (via television) to magical places, and tried to "groom" young children via television?

In hindsight, his show was creepy.

I recognize the packaging, but I don't think I ever ate one.

Hmm I'm 29 and I still wear Axe. I find it the most pleasing smelling antiperspirant out there. Previously I used Adidas I think. Before that maybe Gillette?

What could I use that's more appropriate for my age? Old Spice? :-/
I'm twice your age and I use unscented Ban roll-on. It has no fragrance whatsoever, which suits me just fine.

Oh, I remember (U.S.) Mars bars. They were delicious. I've always wanted to try a Mars Bar from either Canada or the U.K. So I'll have to eventually make a trip to Canada (it's only a 2-3 hour drive north), and demand a Mars bar.

Let me know when you're coming. I'll have a stash ready for you!
