Awesome fan-made floating Red Matter sculpture.

Somebody over at The Replica Prop Forums made a nice little home display of a blob of red matter. He custom-lathed the display stand and it even floats with the use of magnets, which is pretty cool.

Holy crap that's cool. I wonder how much the magnet rig he used for the stand cost? I want to create a globe of Dune like described in the book of the same name.

In the RPF thread, he links to the floating globe he bought to make this. It's about $90 or so, as I recall.

Aww man, I want that, seeing as ST09 is probably one of my favorite and will probably always be one of my top favorite Star Trek Movies, I would totally buy this.
