It's also goes on without a Thanos and his legions, so that universe came out on top of that bargain because no snap at all. On the down side, Ronan is still alive and the power stone is still in place, so who knows how that all shakes out.

That's basically kidnapping. I mean imagine for a second if an alternate timeline Tony showed up and grabbed Pepper because his Pepper got snapped or something. It's creepy.
that’s exactly the plot of ItS, that was the King Pin’s entire big bad plan, consequences be damned

These ARE characters that should eventually be recast. The characters were iconic before the actors touched them. These actors just happened to be perfectly cast and the writers did a great job.

Yeah, but not in this movie-universe. Once they'll do a reboot, okay, but I can't think of a way that a recast of RDJ or CE would work in a plausible way. They are the faces of these characters, the way they breathed life into these 2 characters - just recasting them *in the same universe going forward* wouldn't work.

I get that Mark Ruffalo wasn't the actor who played Hulk first (not even Norton who I'd have loved to see more)... but I doubt even a recast of the Hulk would work now after all the Avenger movies - and arguably Banner/Hulk is 2nd line here (first line are Tony, Steve and Thor).

I think it was a double reference. The elevator setup was an obvious reference to The Winter Soldier but the "Hail Hydra" bit extended to the controversial comic book story.
I just bought this series online, my first time buying a Captain America or any Marvel comic. Who say's middle aged black ladies don't read comics! Hail AntiHydra:nyah:

That whole sequence of them on the Benatar was a beautiful demonstration of how far she's grown. I loved it sooo much. :D

Nebula has always been one of my favorites and not just because I adore Karen Gillan. But after this film, she might very well be my favorite character of the MCU not named Spider-Man.

Thor has grown (sometimes literally) tremendously with Ragnarok, Infinity War and now Endgame. For me he's the best remaining character in the MCU universe.

I don’t. I’m happy for all the little girls who will grow up after seeing it and be inspired to create their own stories because they saw a hero who was like them. The kids growing up with these films are the future of film and comics and the future is going to be a lot bigger than 10 years of mostly male heroes. If a single shot of only female heroes bother you, you might want to just stop now because it won’t be the last or you can sit and enjoy it like the rest of us.
Could have been worse for the poor dufus, might have been a row of females who don't look like his mamma...(i.e non white ladies...clutch de pearls!)

i have no problem with female superheroes. just like i have no problem with diversity. But when you add the word "forced" in front of it, that's my problem. you don't think i'd mind if Thor can Captain Marvel were actually shows fighting together in a cool shot? no i wouldn't.
no but that shot went out of tis way to scream its message
So what message was being screamed when the only comic book line up on film were light, bright and definitely white for decades?

The movie crushed me. Great way to say goodbye to the characters and celebrate 10 plus 1 years of marvel. Still think Infinity War is better but this film was about living and breathing these characters and I think we all needed that after the cliffhanger last year.
I don't think they can make another movie like this again. Not for another 10 years anyway.

Don't see what the problem was with the female Superhero line up beauty shot. Thought it was pretty cool, there's your next Avenger's movie right there. Didn't see it as pandering unlike some other movies...

Time Travel. I miss the days when time travel movies just dealt with one timeline and not all this alternate timeline stuff.

So it's confusing but I'm guessing Steve could have jumped to the future and sat down a while BEFORE jumping to the platform (for dramatic effect) or replacing the Infinity Stones somehow reset the timeline and fixed everything.

Gamora's possible return kind of solves a few problems for me, because we missed seeing how Gamora and Star Lord started their romance but now it's sorta reset for future films. Since the Guardians of The Galaxy 3 script is already written does this mean Thor is in it already? Or is that going to be a rewrite?

I would love more team up movies, Thor and the Guardians.
Thor and Deadpool and the Guardians.

He was actually under the influence of the Mind stone at the time. That’s why he’s less of a villain in Thor 2, he was going back to just normal younger brother levels of evil.

Speaking as a "younger brother" myself:

Well that didn't take long: https://wegotthiscovered.com/movies/avengers-endgame-star-brie-larson-female-avengers
She wants to take that one scene and make a full movie out of it.
I’m still really into this idea of an all-female Avengers movie. Getting all the women together and getting them to work as a team … would be so powerful and iconic. Just because having just seen Avengers: Endgame, getting to see all of those characters on screen, you realize the beauty of these new superhero movies is that everybody has their own special skills they bring to the table. Their own, you know, superpower.

Sigh.. I am all for equal representation. Equal is the key word here. I get it, women have been under represented for decades. But you don't fix that by going completely to the other end of the scale. You don't fix ANY problem by going to the extremes. I really don't mind if the she is the next Iron Man of the MCU, the actual and spiritual leader of the Avengers. But I hope she doesn't get her way and get's a 100% female movie. That's not the right solution.

It took DC about 40 years to make a Wonder Woman movie and Marvel about 20 to make a Captain Marvel movie. Things will be equal when we've gone decades without a single male superhero movie. Having an all female Avengers team, which does exist in the comics, would be a decent start. It's far from an extreme, but if you're that bothered maybe they can have a single guy in it who doesn't have powers.

She's been talking about such a movie since she was doing press for Captain Marvel, going as far getting some of the actresses together and asking Kevin Feige directly for such a film.

I'm all for it. As she has said, it's long overdue. I know I wouldn't be the only person who would love watching it.

Its interesting how some folks react when asked to share one loaf from the bread factory they've hogged for decades. They still insist on keeping a slice of bread lol

That's not equal at all. That's revenge casting and trying to shove views down people's throats. Female heroes aren't owed a thing. Neither are heroes of color. I could only imagine the reaction to people saying, "yes! White males! White male power! We need more white males!" Liberals would cry.

Instead of bringing affirmative action into it, how about just making good heroes without intentionally trying to show how woke they are?

When it's organic, it's great. What happened with Arya Stark is a perfect example of that. It wasn't a staged "girl power" moment. It was organic to the story and absolutely perfect, regardless of gender.

Until writers lose the chip on their shoulders, you will never see equality.

Marvel already has something to base it on too.
