Avengers: EMH 1.1/1.2 "Breakout" pts 1&2

Episode 20, "The Casket of Ancient Winters" and episode 21, "Hail Hydra" are both available in two parts on YouTube. Not posting links as I'm not even sure if even posting the info is against board rules or not.

Human Torch and the Thing!

Winter Soldier?

Casket was a decent episode. Hail Hydra was great. it had the classic Hawkeye/Antman shot and the ending...man, that ending. won't spoil it.

So wait, did these episodes air on TV as well or just on youtube?

They aired on TV in Australia, and someone there must've recorded them and posted them on YouTube. Here in the US, new episodes will reportedly resume at the start of May. Apparently they're scheduling them to fill the gap between the Thor movie at the end of April and the Captain America movie in July.

It's almost like Spectacular Spiderman all over again, what with folks in Europe seeing the episodes before North America.

At least with Justice League Unlimited the only folks who saw "Epilogue" first were us Canadians...

EDIT: Woo-hoo, made it to Vice Admiral!

I've been able to see all the new episodes including the Ultron ones and they are all top notch with a bunch of nods to Avenger comic book history and including another quick FF cameo, still wish we could have a Spider-man one.

The only down side to Avengers: EMH and a lot of the other cartoons out now Transformers,GI Joe and so on is they still cradle that line between being for kids but appealing to adults which means that they can't do a lot of the stories we would like,I mean Tony isn't going to hit the bottle and Hank Pym won't smack the Wasp around and what have you,so far only Star Wars The Clone Wars has come close to more adult theme stories and even they have to hold back.

But still were getting better stories now then from the golden era of cartoons the silly but still fun He-Man type stories are long gone.:)

I'd be rather happy if they never touched the "Hank the wife beater" plot point, seeing how that was just one moment of madness out of his entire career.

Of course, Spider-Man did the same thing and no one ever cared about THAT...

Spectacular Spider-Man 226, I think. It was when he found out he was a clone (well, tricked into thinking that) and started fighting Ben Reilly. Mary Jane tried to stop him and he back-handed her without realizing who it was. Once he turned around he totally lost his mind, said he was a monster and ran off.

There was an episode that (apparently) resolved the whole Black Widow/Hydra/AIM thing. Ended with the HYDRA Leadership all imprisoned, MODOC and AIM shut down (for now) and the Cosmic Cube sealed away.

Next up was a two-parter dealing with Ultron's first assault on humanity.

Plus the spoiler when Cap touched the Cube.

Finally caught up on the new episodes and I'm about to watch the second part of the "Fall of Asgard" story.

This show is fantastic. A worthy successor to "Wolverine & The X-Men" (Hated that title)

They've done a really good job of giving each of the team members their own unique personality and established some great interpersonal dynamics between the various Avengers.

Plus I'm loving all the nods to the various story lines over the years.
The nod to A-WC with Clint saying they should move the team to the West Coast for example.

I've been enjoying Young Justice too, but I think Avengers has it beat on utilizing the mythology angles thus far.

Of course Young Justice only had 9 episodes completed as recently as March, and they've already aired them all. Greg Wiesman said that eps 10 & 11 were in the pipeline. Also an additional 10-episode 2nd season was ordered for Young Justice.

Any word on Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes for a season 2?

Looking forward to progress on both of these.

from wikipedia:

According to Jeph Loeb, Season 2 will presumably begin around October, same as season 1 and Producer Josh Fine recently tweeted that 13 episodes have been completed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Avengers:_Earth's_Mightiest_Heroes#cite_note-14 It has been mentioned by one of the creators that there may be as many as 52 episodes.

Avengers EMH was given a second season pratically out of the gate; which is why nthe writers have such long overarching story arcs as they planned the overall plot of the 52 episodes pretty early on by most accounts.

^Good to know. Thanks to both of you.

Alas, I hope Whedon gives this series a look before getting to much further into crafting his film.

For laughs, I'd love Black Panther to show up and be like, "It's called Vibranium Bitches!"
