Ant-Man really gets a bad rap in Marvel, they keep treating him like some madman when it's really all just bad writing (and not realizing full implications of mental illness back in the 60s and 70s) and a few moments of weakness.

Ultron, Thanos...if the rights weren't held by Fox, they could fight the Yancy Street Gang and it wouldn't matter...we'd still eat it up for the chance to see those heroes working together, just like the first film.
I think they've said Thanos is going to be in Guardians of the Galaxy.WTF? I thought Avengers 2 was about Thanos?! This is extremely disappointing. How can they do Ultron without Pym? I don't want Stark to be the inventor.
And using the title of that godawful "crossover" is a real turd in the punchbowl. It better have nothing to do with that storyline!
Since they're all getting solo sequels between movies, I'd say that the core team of Cap, Thor, and IM is a sure thing...and they'd be idiots not to bring back the Ruffalo as the Hulk.Ultron, Thanos...if the rights weren't held by Fox, they could fight the Yancy Street Gang and it wouldn't matter...we'd still eat it up for the chance to see those heroes working together, just like the first film.
It's doubtful we'll be seeing the same team as we saw in the first movie.
Hawkeye is going to be back. Whedon has been saying soothing things to assure Renner that he'll have more to do this time.
Because they are sticking with their looney ANT MAN project. Sigh.
Hawkeye is going to be back. Whedon has been saying soothing things to assure Renner that he'll have more to do this time.
It's based on something he said yesterday: "It's very much a global Avengers film. A lot of the movie has to do with their place not just in America, but the world. Part of the fun for me, definitely this time around, is writing Hawkeye. He did get possessed pretty early by a bad guy and had to walk around all scowly for most of the movie so now it's nice to actually have the character there and see him interact with the other guys."Is that you think, or did Joss actually release a statement?
Will he be calling Cap "Methuselah" and hit on Scarlet Witch?

The original theory was that GotG introduces Thanos who is then dealt with in the Avengers 2. Now it seems like GotG isn't going to have anything to do with Avengers 2...?

Spider-Man did the same thing, no one ever held THAT against him.
Before this, Jan did equally nasty stuff to Hank, in fact she did WORSE things to him. No one remembers this.
Plus, apparently this was due to the artist misinterpreting the script and making Hank look way worse than what the writer intended. It wasn't supposed to look like he did this deliberately.
In that story (issue 213, I think), there is a scene in which Hank is supposed to have accidentally struck Jan while throwing his hands up in despair and frustration—making a sort of “get away from me” gesture while not looking at her. Bob Hall, who had been taught by John Buscema to always go for the most extreme action, turned that into a right cross! There was no time to have it redrawn, which, to this day has caused the tragic story of Hank Pym to be known as the “wife-beater” story.
When that issue came out, Bill Sienkiewicz came to me upset that I hadn’t asked him to draw it! He saw the intent right through Hall’s mistake, and was moved enough by the story to wish he’d had the chance to do it properly.
