"Avatar" (Cameron, Worthington, Weaver) released Aug. 27 (new footage)

Re: "Avatar" (Cameron, Worthington, Weaver) released Aug. 27 (new foot

Maybe finally I'll go see this movie!

Nah.

Have no interest in the fifteen minutes of footage but will be picking up "The Ultimate Edition" whenever it is released this winter if that's still the plan.

Speaking of those people — Avatards, they’re called…
I think they’re called fans.

I’m talking about a future when you don’t have to put “in 3D” on the movie poster anymore, the same way that you don’t put “in color” on posters anymore. Imagine that point in time, when 3D is just a natural, innate part of viewing.

...just like paying way too much money. CHA-CHING!!!!

Don't go Lucas on us, please Cameron.

Re: "Avatar" (Cameron, Worthington, Weaver) released Aug. 27 (new foot

Cameron's films sometimes have deleted scenes that greatly enhance the storyline ('Aliens,' 'The Abyss,' and 'Terminator 2' had great deleted scenes) or provide cool alternate endings ('T2'), but nothing he mentioned in that article appeals to me in the slightest except perhaps the extended death scene.

We already saw the Na'Vi hunting, bioluminescent plants, and a boatload of Pandoran animals, so unless it adds to the story in some way I don't really care. And I definitely don't care about seeing Jake and Neytiri have ponytail sex.

I think that just the sheer magnitude of the film in IMAX 3-D warrants another viewing.

Besides, my wife missed out on that experience, so it's this years' anniversary gift--complete with meal and a long night of married people stuff!

That actualy does interest me a bit.
Me too. We didn't get enough the first time around.

And the term "avatards" is pretty funny. Never heard it before.

Re: "Avatar" (Cameron, Worthington, Weaver) released Aug. 27 (new foot

I never got around to seeing this when it was first released. Now that my local theater can actually screen 3D movies, I'm seriously considering checking it out this time.

Re: "Avatar" (Cameron, Worthington, Weaver) released Aug. 27 (new foot

Does anyone have any updated info on the Avatar "Ultimate Edition" DVD? Or Cameron's novelization? Last time I read anything the DVD was targeted for sometime this winter.

The film is good. Whats the difference with IMAX and just regular watching it at the theater?
