* This contest will be focusing on the episode "The Voyager Conspiracy." Seven of Nine flips out and see Voyager's arrival in the DQ as a Federation invasion.
* The Voyager theme as chosen by EMHMark613 will be Seven of Nine.
* The random theme will be fast cars.

The Rules: Avs not to exceed 140x140 px and not be over 70kb in file size. Avs can be static pictures or animated, just don't go over the restrictions posted previously. One av entry per category. The theme must be Voyager related while the random is just that, random from anything. Entries will be accepted until August 4, 2008 sometime in the evening.

Two good sites for getting images are trekcore.com and star-trek-voyager.net

A couple of questions ........

1. Do you have to provide an entry for all 3 catagories, or could you just submit an entry for only 2 or 3 ,(say Episode only, or Episode & Theme only) ?
2. Are all valid submissions entered into the contest or only a certain selection?

EAch forum moderator might have different rules, but these are contests just for fun. In my experience..you don't have to enter all of the contests. And all valid submissions are entered.. not only should they match the category specs of that contest (or come close) they should be the right size both in pixels and file size.

Help!

Ok people, Ive decided to enter the competition, and have the photos prepared.

Yes I thought it would be that simple.

They are in a file on my hard drive, but Im buggered if I know how to get them on to a post on this thread.

If I select "copy" for the file in my documents, there is no paste option in a thread reply.

I usually "grab" pictures from the internet to copy to a thread (Which usually works), so have created a web page using basic Nvu software with the photos, and tried to copy and paste, but all I get is:

The blank rectangle with the little red cross in the corner.

I dont see how the "Insert Image" option works for a file on my hard drive.

Can anyone help and give me a clue as how to get the images from "My Documents" on to this page?

Sorry to be thick, but ......... Help anyone?

glad you decided to enter! The way you do it that the pics have toi have a webspace. What I did was I opened a free account at www.photobucket.com
There uou can upload images right from your computer or froma website..when you see a pic you like you can right click it and do "view image" and iot will be in its own tab on a browser, and then just copy and paste that URL..which usually ends in jpg to the photobucklet page. Then on photobucket you can edit the p[hotos in many ways, but the main thing you can do is easily resize them to the required 140x140 for the avatar size

once you got the new resized pic in photobucket just copy the tag meant for message boards.. it will have IMG tags on it. paste that into you post here
Don't ask me how to do do the moving avs.

YYZ is right on. You don't have to enter each category if you don't want to. It's all just for fun.

The way I make my avs is to find an original source picture. I then copy that pic to my clipboard and paste it into photoshop. (paint.net would work too and it's a free program.) I then resize and crop the pic to av size, save it to my hard drive, and then upload it to photobucket.
