What a fun drizzly Sunday we had yesterday! Emh was in our neck of the woods - normally sunny Sydney, Australia - and it was time to splurge on some fun!

and I've got an empty wallet this morning! but it was so worth it. :D

oh, and the bouncer wanted a $40 cover charge, so we ended up in the Ship Inn opposite Circular Quay station, and drank some more. and where Robert and ElimParra joined us again, still talking to each other.

I had so much fun yesterday, but not so much my bank account. You don't want to know how much money I've spent in the past week I've been in Sydney.

It was great meeting up with all of the Aussie folks. Now I've met more Aussie TrekBBSers than American TrekBBSers.

More pics, please. :(

Well, not too many pics were taken, 'cos some TrekBBS folk are very camera shy, and it was a gloomy day outside.

I had a grand plan for a fun group shot, but didn't go ahead with the props when it turned out to be raining.

Botany Bay did take what I hope turned out to be a great group shot at one point, but I have a feeling that a few people don't want their images all over the Internet. When he sends it to me I can at least crop off some faces till it's just Emh and myself?

I got Emh's permission to upload the one on my blog as part of my personal "365 photos project" (ie. one random shot per day - now up to #147).

But here's a view of the Sydney Opera House from our table at Wolfie's, which is directly across Circular Quay from where we had afternoon drinks:

Were those the topings on Australian Pizza?

No, we had Italian supreme for lunch on our pizza.

Dinner was at a very different restaurant. Emh and I both had kangaroo loin fillets and crocodile medallions at Wolfie's.

If you ever order an Australian topping for a pizza it'll usually include a fried egg and sometimes beetroot (aka beets).

Sounds lovely. I'll see if I can make it. Being in the run up to Christmas (and working in Retail), I'll see what I can manage.
