OK, I shortened this to a 2952 word version for the contest, but I'm leaving the directors cut up for those who want more detail. Do not read the long version for voting purposes. I have to figure out a way to do this in the future...any ideas on how to pleae both sides..me wanting to write more, and the contests being so short???

I've done this before. Just post your 'author's cut' version after the end of the challenge. People who liked your challenge entry will want to read the longer version for sure. And those who didn't may like the longer version better.

However it comes pretty close to cheating if you post both before the challenge is concluded. I hope David won't mind this time around cuz I wanna vote for it.

Thanks Cejay, and I was worries about having both versions posted as well.

David....if there is any problem, please I have no problem not being entered this month. The dual posting was my fault, but I have no intention of submitting under circumstances that look like cheating. I'd rather hororably wait for next months and do it right..

I don't think that's a big problem, myself, and I urge David to accept your entry. I for one didn't even read the original version, so it hasn't influenced my vote at all.
