August Challenge - 137th Gebirg

[137th Gebirg]

So...

For some time now, I've had this image flash into my head. This image violently blasts into my mind's eye every time someone pontificates on "Gene's Vision" (or, at least, what they think Gene's Vision should be) and the saccharine over-lionization of the man himself. Such epiphanies usually appear to me when reading through a thread that starts acquiring anti-NuTrek bashing posts for no apparent reason...

...or just about every fan film thread in existence here.

This challenge has finally allowed me to give this vision its realization, based on a famous painting by H. Zabateri.

Is it prophetic? Perhaps.

Is it mean-spirited? Some might say so, but it certainly was not intended to be that way.

Is it parody? Most fucking definitely.

They're panties - Roddenberry was known to have had dalliances with both Majel Barrett (represented by blue w/ medical insignia) and Nichelle Nichols (red w/ ops insignia) while he was still married to his first wife.
