Kirk congratulates the 'Princess of Mars'.

While visiting the Olympus Mons shipyards, James Kirk takes in a bit of the local culture and attends a regional theater production, a Tai Chi rock opera stage adaptation of "A Princess of Mars". Afterwards, He takes the opportunity and pleasure to congratulate the lead actress, Aparna Sanchez, who performs the titular role.

Weird? Maybe, but no more bizarre than composing a rock opera based upon "War of the Worlds". Besides, this presenatation has a nearly nude princess.

Oh, merciful Mogg! Now you got me to think of the weirdest "mash-up" ever! Imagine the Princess of Helium as a Wellsian Martian! Here's this tentacled "thing" wearing jeweled bands upon its tendrils and this freeform ornate "tiara" spanning the width of its head/body.

Dear g*d, that's twisted, sick and wrong on so many levels!!!

Bill, have you seen the second League of Extraordinary Gentlemen graphic novel? In it, the War of the Worlds Martians are not actually Martians, but invader of Mars who John Carter and the E. R. B. Martians fight off and then they try to invade Earth next, where they are ultimately defeated by the League.

It's certainly an interesting take...
