attention girls: embrace your inner...

^Jeez, on top of everything else? :( Longest I've ever had was 11 days.

Yeah, that's why I posted last week that god was a misogynist prick and an incompetent plumber.

The gyno says its a bad reaction to some chemical birth control I've recently started. They stopped the b/c and now we're just waiting for the damned period to run its course.

Except it won't. It's not that heavy at this point, just enough to ruin my entire underwear collection. :angryrazz:

^ Yikes! Four days are enough for me thankyouverymuch!

We finally got some snow yesterday! I get to ski this weekend. :)

Well, I'll tell you, but you gotta understand something first. I love my body, but I don't think that everyone out there needs to see my 3 Bs (boobs, belly, butt). That's for me to share with hubby, kwim? The suit I've been wearing was bought out of necessity and while it is a tankini, the top is a halter, which left me feeling very, very exposed. So, I've been looking for a new top and was pretty disgusted with both the selection and the price. A person on another board posted a link to a site that makes modest swimwear. This is the one I bought: http://modestlyyoursswimwear.com/images/DSC012793.JPG And I love it. The color is a bit darker than in the picture, and there are silver sparklies on the top. I think I will have the skirt shortened because it comes to my knees, and I'd rather it be mid-thigh, but it fits well and it arrived quickly and it's a good color for me and I feel like I can take the kids to the pool without showing all my worldly goods. ;)

Now, I know that some of you will think this is totally weird, and that's okay. I'm not telling anyone that they should wear such a thing. But it works for me, and I'm glad to find a site that can provide something that makes me feel more comfortable going to the pool or beach. It will also help me not get as sunburned, which with my fair complexion, is pretty much a given for me, even with sunscreen.

So, now you know. ;)

Bears, I'm sorry that you're dealing with the perpetual period, especially now. Have you been checked for internal bleeding? Could this be something other than menstrual blood? Sending you very gentle hugs and lots of good thoughts, hon.

Ooh. I'd love some Tex Mex, too. It's rarer than hen's teeth around here. :(

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch!

I could never wear a swimsuit in public, not anymore. I would either frighten or gross out people, especially men.

After reading some of the stuff posters say here on the BBS about overweight women, I can tell you that it's not possible to hate myself more.

P.S. It appears my Lexapro has not completely kicked in yet. But I'm not longer bawling over the death of Socks the cat! :techman:

Check out the site that I got my suit from, WwJw. You might change your mind about swimsuits. I sure did.

I hear ya. And some of the comments make me feel like I should never be seen in public again. :(

Re: attention girls: embrace your inner twitch!

I got a bladder infection and went to the doc yesterday. He put me on Cipro. I haven't been on antibiotics much, but gosh...I have been on them more in the past 8 years... Quite annoying... And I went to my chiropractor yesterday too. My ankle still hurts but the pressure isn't so bad anymore! ^^

Oh, I am so sorry to hear that. Are you having any pain or is it just that weird, constant "I gotta go but I know I don't have to" feeling?

You girls would not believe how hard it is to find and buy a denim pencil skirt. I went to 6 stores before I gave up.:scream:

The important thing is that you feel comfortable and confident in what you're wearing. I'm sure it looks great on you. :)

I'm sorry you feel that way. Think of it this way. The sexy guys on this board (yes, there are some of those) don't say stuff like that. So why should you care what the unsexy ones think?

For myself I wish I was smaller but then I work out regularly (skied 8k today) and eat a healthy diet. It doesn't matter though - I will always have curves. Exercise and eat right because it makes YOU feel better. The rest should follow. :)

Oh, that's the worst! I haven't had many but lots of cranberry juice helps a lot. Of course, it's a bit embarrassing sitting at your desk downing a big old bottle of the stuff.

After my infamous "black pants incident" yes I can certainly believe it!

I hate PMS. I really do. I feel like I'm about to burst into tears and throw things for no reason. Oh, why did I give up chocolate for Lent?

Oh, I hate those. That's another thing that happens to me during PMS. Cranberry juice is the only thing that helps.

I fortunately recognized it for what it was and got it in control. Cranberry juice hasn't been my friend for some time. But the infection was dealt with.

This thread is like having dinner with my wife and my two 20-something daughters. Some things truly are universal.
