attention girls: embrace your inner...

Re: attention girls: embrace your innerds.

I do that with my athletic shoes.

Re: attention girls: embrace your innerds.

I just found a third pair: basic black ballet flats. I was trying to avoid ballet flats, but I think these have enough of a sole.

As for different shoes and quality, I've always tried to get wearable ones with a solid sole and stick one nice pair of arch supports in them. That's not really the right way to do it, though.

ok, those aren't very... affordable. :p

I see your point - truly I do. I'm the type however who would rather have one pair of really well-made shoes than five pairs of cheaply made ones.
Aren't you supposed to rotate between two or three pairs, so that they last longer and your feet don't get sore?

This is true. I usually try to avoid wearing the same pair of heels twice in one week. What I was referring to earlier is when shopping I would rather come home with one well-make pair than 3-5 not as well-made pairs. Hope that clarifies things. :)

Re: attention girls: embrace your innerds.

^that sounds way more space-efficient than my method. :p

Re: attention girls: embrace your innerds.

^^ You could make a rule that you have to get rid of a pair of shoes for every pair you buy.

(My aunt has that rule. Unfortunately her feet are just enough larger then mine that it isn't an excellent source of shoes for me.)

That, I would tend to agree with.

well, that's just plain incosiderate of her. :p

Re: attention girls: embrace your innerds.

Well, my first pair arrived...and instead of 9's, they are 10 or 11's with "9" stamped on them. I'm already grateful for Famous Footwear's return policy.

You're talking crazy talk! ;)

Re: attention girls: embrace your innerds.

Now, my uterus is starting to hurt...
UTERUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUS!
...
That doesn't work as well as "Khan," does it?

Re: attention girls: embrace your innerds.

^No, but it would be a lot more interesting to see William Shatner as Captain Kirk scream it.

Re: attention girls: embrace your innerds.

A Girl Khan: I will leave you, as you left me... Marooned on a dead planet for all eternity... without Midol... without Midol...
Jamesina Kirk: UTERUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUS!
Echo: UTERUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUS! UTERUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUS!

Re: attention girls: embrace your innerds.

I prefer to mix up my shoe purchases. I tend to only buy a pair every couple of years, so I usually get pretty expensive ones that will last me (in terms of dressy or work shoes). Otherwise I buy cheap sandals and my mom, sister and I have some sort of informal rotation going on so it's like we have three times the selection. We can't pull that off with more fitted shoes as we are technically different sizes.

My feet are actually in really bad shape now, particularly after spending three days in a row dancing. I want to get a pedicure but I'm far too ticklish. :(

Re: attention girls: embrace your innerds.

Well, everyone's system sounds better than mine. I tend to keep going, losing one pair at a time to wear or time-delayed awefulness (i.e. the sequinned pair that wasn't a bad thing at the time) or suddenly realized impracticality until I have nothing to wear with anything and then buy a batch of three or four pairs in a short period of time.

Of course, I did that last year and then lost two pairs literally and one pair to that time-delayed awefulness I mentioned.

[muttering] Gold sequins...what was I thinking...what were a couple of my friends and some stranger in the ladies room thinking when they said positive things about them...gold sequins...those things are aweful

I had a terrible time with that when I first started getting them. I guess now I'm more used to it since I'm no longer ticklish during them.

Re: attention girls: embrace your innerds.

^It shouldn't, because that takes care of truly scary stuff... like foot fungus...
