Atlantis: Season 5

Bob Picardo did a better job as Woolsey in season 5, though I would've preferred Weir not be kicked out at all after season 3. I was glad Torri Higginson snubbed her guest star appearance in season 5 after what they did to her.

Completely agree. There was just something missing after she left that they never really got back, although I will at least give the writers credit for not forgetting about her. They could have easily never mentioned Weir again once she was gone.

A warning: The final episode of Atlantis is terrible. It could have been good as a two or three parter, but it was just so rushed nothing has a chance to sink in and there's no time for a sense of peril or suspense. It was a blur.

There's a scene where the-guy-who-runs-the-second-team (it's been a while, sorry) comes though the gate with something they need (and have wanted forever) - and I'm like "WTF?" - they normally would have done a whole freakin' story arc leading to that!

I loved Atlantis, and forgave the rubbish ending, because I decided they had to cram all that in quickly to set up the movie, which would be the true and awesome finale.

Nope. No movie. Just SGU, which has done for Stargate what Enterprise did for Star Trek.

Really?! I though Sam Carter was underused and completely wasted in season 4, nothing like the Carter from SG-1. I even nicknamed her long-hair Carter and pretended it wasn't the same person. Bob Picardo did a better job as Woolsey in season 5, though I would've preferred Weir not be kicked out at all after season 3. While I agree that it wasn't necessary to get rid of Weir at all, if for whatever reason that had to be, than I would have preferred that in season four they just brought Woolsey in then. Carter served no purpose in that season other than stunt casting.

Ironically enough, the only Atlantis episode I felt Carter did anything meaningful was the season 5 premiere. Otherwise, the entire fourth season she was basically Weir with a different name. Hell, she appeared a lot less than Weir did. For that matter, Ford had more presence in the first season than Carter did in the fourth.

The fifth year was when the show got it's footing again after bouncing around for a couple of seasons. Season 4 was very lackluster.

Well...yeah. Season 4 was definitely the weakest and even though Sam wasn't the same Sam I loved in SG-1, she was still the best part of that weak season for me. I absolutely disliked the replicator arc. Ugh.

yah, i just saw the finale and yep... not so crash hot.

It was, but that doesn't really excuse it. It would have been a lot better if it had been about 20 minutes longer. The story wasn't awful; it was just very rushed.

Just had a look at what episodes where in series 4 it was not as bad as i thought it was. It had some great episodes like Be all my sins remembered and Tablula Rasa but they went and ruined it with crap like missing.
