Assignment Earth Series

Hi everyone -

Just wanted to let you know my Assignment: Earth site has been overhauled with new content about the show's development, new video captures in the adaptation, and a revised interface. I have everything you never needed to know about the epsiode.

Take care.

Roger C. Carmel (Harry Mudd ) stated in an interview (I really cannot recall what magazine but it was in the early 80's) that HE had been approached by Paramount execs for a spin off based on Harry Mudd...my mind boggles at how FUN that series could have been...

There was also going to be a TNG episode with Mudd (freshly awoken from cryo sleep) but Carmel's death put a stop to it. (At least I think it did. I don't know how close it ever got to filming or scripting.)

It got turned into TNG's "The Neutral Zone". True.

Just curious...where did you hear this?

It's still a good idea begging to be made into a tv series.
oh come on, given what hollywood is like at the moment, its begging to be a movie, however maybe take the Trek element out of it.

Wow - HAD Roger C. Carmel survived to do this, that would have made the episode:

A) Actually watchable.
B) Probably the best episode in TNG's craptastic season 1.

Garr is far more pleasant about the show in her Autobiography.

How well-meaning are some of us about our previous jobs?

Hey, that's interesting to hear. I'll have to find a copy of that book. Thanks.
