Assign an Anthem

Withers

Captain
I'm exceptionally bored so I came up with this absolutely frivialous idea for a thread which has, no doubt, been done but I'm going to start a new one. The idea is pretty simple. Assign a character from Deep Space Nine a theme song and the explain. I'll go first (with the character who gave me the idea.)

The song is Ain't No Rest for the Wicked and I'm assigning it Weyoun's theme song. The song is basically about the necessity of sin and the title is the chorus. Weyoun exemplifies this in my head, literally, because seemingly no matter what horrible thing happens to him (transporter accident, neck snapping, phaser shots to the chest etc.) there will always be another one to pick up where he left off until, of course, the actual bitter end.

“I can't slow down, I can't hold back, though you know I wish I could. No there ain't no rest for the wicked until we close our eyes for good.” How perfectly Weyoun right?

Okay, your turn :) (If this is totally stupid I apologize. I'm just really bored and thought what people come up with might be fun.)

Here's the theme I would choose for Damar...just replace "Russia" with "Cardassia" and you'd get the idea. The song is called "Russia on Ice," by Porcupine Tree. Due to its length, it's in 2 parts. The first part is his more despondent stage...the second part I would imagine as his time as a rebel. It's a long song, but be patient...I couldn't imagine a better fit than this!

Here's one for Dukat in his red-eye stage...this really captures his sick relationship with Winn:

And one for Garak: Thrice--Doublespeak http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQFwd95NcNQ

(Of course, Garak does know way too much--but it does sound like at least how he TALKS...)

I hear the "Goldfinger" theme--and I think GARAK. Listen to the lyrics, and you'll know what I mean:

It contains everything: his slyness, his danger, his love of using "golden words" and lies, his seductive charisma...and his cold-yet-golden heart.

For Ezri Dax, "You Only Live Twice." It embodies perfectly the innocent romanticism that defines her:

Julian Bashir gets "Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang", the alternate theme to "Thunderball":

Suave, smooth, fast, and no fool...need I say more?

Luther Sloan gets the 24 theme--and not just because of the show:

In the four different sections of the theme, you can hear, in order, the darkness of Bauer's--uh, Sloan's--soul...the careful, tragic heroism of his heart...the fierce determination of his mind...and finally his cold-hearted strength.
