Assassin's Creed 2 details leaked

AsC is a fun game, although I didn't manage to make it to the end, but I enjoyed the assassinations and combat. Hopefully, AsC 2 is just as entertaining. :D

Whoo!!

AC1 was good but you could tell they were still tinkering around with the engine. The views were spectacular. Can't wait for AC2.

Even with it's downfalls I enjoyed the first one well enough.

I'm in for the second.

Yep, I'll definitely be picking this up. Enjoyed the first one immensely, despite the repetition, and this new info is only increasing my anticipation of the second installment.

Here's a HiRes shot of him that I found floating around the net a couple days ago

I just recently played the first game and enjoyed it (though it was EXTREMELY repetitive). The graphics are amazing but I wish the controls were a little more natural. The ending was a complete anti-climactic ****tease cliffhanger though!

[gaming otaku] Wow, they actually made a game instead of a tech demo! [/gaming otaku]

Maybe I'll actually finish this one.

That said, while I sort of wish they went medieval Asian, the whole Italian Renaissance thing sounds pretty cool.

Hmm, could be pretty cool. I don't have too much confidence in Ubisoft, though, mind you. So I'm keeping my hopes low for now. At the very least I'll be checking out the demo when it comes out.

Well, could have went with something non-Japanese.
Hell, even South Asian would be interesting. I'm sure back then, there were assassins in Mumbai/Bombay.

Hm, a Thuggee setting might be interesting - maybe in the inevitable third game. (Since the second one isn't the near-future setting that the end of the first game implies, presumably it's going to be a longer series...)

Honestly, they could probably keep pumping out games just by changing the setting/era. And it might be a chance to see some settings that we just don't get in games or other media.

I enjoyed the first one quite a bit even though I never finished it - the mission where you have to jump across all the poles in the bay to kill the guy on the boat killed me every time, and I finally just gave up in frustration.

But I really liked it up to that point, and visually, it was stunning - the ancient cities were just gorgeous. If they really have fixed the whole "die the minute you touch water" element, I'll probably be willing to check out AC2.

^^ You don't really need to jump over all those poles. You just go along the big pier on the south of the map and there's a plank connecting the pier to the target's boat. Even so, I never had any problem jumping on the poles. The only time I fell in the water was when a baddie pushed me off a dock.
