Askmen.com - Top 5 Daniel Craig Replacements for 007

If they were going down the black Bond route then they should have cast Colin Salmon after Brosnan- that said I think Ejiofor could pull it off.

Of the others, haven't heard of some of them, and they are American (but then I wanted Alexis Denisof to be Bond at one point!)

Clive Owen? I'd have loved him to be Bond but they time has passed. He will remain the best Bond we never had.

Ridiculous question anyway because I doubt very much Daniel Craig is going anywhere, the guy's brilliant, the guy IS Bond.

"cutting a foot chase with an opera scene? Blegh"

Yeah, ugh, wouldn't want any culture in our Bond movies, now would we? Enough said about that article.

I think his point was that this didn't work at all in the film. Cutting two conflicting scenes together can be very powerful, but this wasn't the case at all in QoS. It seemed convoluted and artificial. The director doesn't seem to have a grasp of this basic technique.

Chiwetel Ejiofor would indeed make a kickass Bond.

Enter, big can of worms that wrecks franchise as people accuse producers of being politically correct.:vulcan:

I consider that an acceptable risk.

I'm an Afro-American, and I don't think that it is. The idea's just as stupid as making Liz Allan Hispanic in The Spectacular Spider-Man. If these people want a black secret agent, let them create one, and have Ejiofor, Will Smith, Wesley Snipes etc. play the part. All that casting Ejiofor does is cause needless controversy.

Exactly. As I said, I think Chiwetel Ejiofor is great, but he's not Bond.

Chiwetel's so good they released Kinky Boots (a comedy where he plays a drag queen who helps a man save his shoe-making business) and Serenity (where he plays The Operative, a believably dangerous government assassin) on the same day here in the UK and people reviewing the films said how great he was in both.
