It looked like the staircase went onto an overhead street. Anyway - Ashes season 2. Fantastic. I'm now going to go away and eat my hat, and I'll do it gladly. That was a blinder of a finale, and I love how they're playing with the mythology more than LoM did (which had a slightly disappointing ending I thought - being as it was a spin on "it was all a dream"). Loved it loved it loved it.
More importantly what on earth was that red hat doing as part of her wedding outfit? Gene Hunt reading Jackanory was excellent, I hated that programme when I was young, except for when they did the Hobbit in a group reading.
Yeah shaz had a Claire Grogan vibe going on the whole ep. I loved it when she appeared, if only because until it became clear who it was I really did think it was an angel, and that A2A had gone completely bonkers! Strangely the only bit I didn't really like was the Jackanory bit! (although the bit where Alex basically accused Gene of raping her childhood was interesting) I wonder where they'll go with season 3 now? Spoiler: season 3? Alex trapped in a 2009 that she knows isn't real? Desperate to get back to 1982, so she can then get back to the real 2009? More importantly, will I ever eat a battered sausage again??
You get so sucked into the Gene Hunt character that it's actually a shock when you see Phil Glenister on the One Show or something and he's just an ordinary bloke.
isnt the real shock, realising that your watching The One Show? good episode, really like the ending.
