Spoilers Arrow - Season 5

^ It was the series regular part that got me. The wording makes it sound like he'll be an opening credit regular on three shows.

More likely it means that he and Miller will be available to appear on any one of the shows as needed without it having to be negotiated case-by-case like a guest spot. It's more of a "regular" arrangement in terms of how the contract is structured, in that they're available for the whole season, but with the three (or four?) shows treated as if they were one, in terms of how the actors experience it and get compensated for it. I figure it'll be a "regular-at-large" gig in a sense -- they'll be bouncing around among the different shows as needed, rather than appearing weekly in every one.

As for billing, sometimes series regulars don't appear in every episode or even get billed in every episode. Heroes worked that way -- only the actors appearing in a given episode got credited in that episode, because there was such a huge ensemble. Houdini and Doyle also does that -- actors who aren't in the episode don't get credited that week. (Which is more common with British or Canadian shows than US shows.)

Wow. That's really surprising. I really felt like Malcolm's character was completely used up by the end of Arrow S4. That it was time to kill him off. I do love the idea of characters constantly moving across series though.

Still don't know why they had to kill off Laurel. I read that they never really wanted the actress, who was pushed on them by the network or something, and they looked for a way to get her off the show.

I'm starting to wonder if the Flashpoint reality shifting is going to resurrect Laurel.
Also, them talking about the season premiere having the most brutal fight ever makes me wonder if it's going to be in a Flashpoint alt reality where Ollie is a brutal killer vigilante.

However interconnected these shows seem to be, each one is still a separate series with its own creative staff and its own distinct audience. One series isn't going to change its storylines because of what another series does. Look how The Flash virtually ignored the Supergirl crossover even after all the trouble they went to in order to set it up. They nodded to it in passing, then went on with the storyline they already had going. Or look how both The Flash and Arrow had fate-of-the-world climaxes on consecutive days and neither one ever mentioned the other. The interconnections aren't as tight as they pretend.

I think it's safe to assume that "Flashpoint" is going to happen in The Flash. It's that show's storyline, not this show's. This show is going to continue with its own storylines, because it is not an extension of The Flash, it's the flagship show of the whole thing.

Well, that was... underwhelming. :(

Very underwhelming. Hard to get excited about Oliver training even more vigilantes. Hard to see how this will be any different from what we have seen before. More group fight scenes, that got repetitive last yer already.

- Well, at least the killing of Damien Darkh was a big, final thing. Wait...
- And hold on, flashback wig is back?! Though it should never have left, so... good? I don't even know anymore.
- Another, new vigilante team? When we already have the AoS, Legends, and STAR Labs teams? Ugggghhhhh.

Back in the day, some online dude wrote Voyager nitpicking reviews, and eventually introduced a character called "Pathetic Friend Voyager" who'd come to see him, talking up the latest (lame) episode. Alas, I fear it may be time for "Pathetic Friend Arrow"...

How's Barrowman going to find time for these shows with his new role at Marvel?

So I've heard. But then, can just anybody be rescued from time, for any reason? Moira? Laurel (assuming anyone would want to)? Ray Palmer's fiancee? Finn Hudson?!
I've a feeling the people doing the rescuing aren't the good guys. So maybe doing so is a bad thing with repercussions involved. Just a guess

Something told me Katie Cassidy wasn't actually gone for reals... She must be one of the Legends villains.
