This is a great idea. I nominate Greg Cox to do it. Not a straight novelization either, lets hear what there life was like being raised by Soong and then abruptly thrown into raising themselves. I'm sure there were many Lord of the Flies moments.

I meant I wouldn't expect a book by the same author covering essentially the same subject to look much different.

That is true. It would probably be better if James Swallow covered it, his Terok Nor book was incredible. Great sense of history and character development.
