Are you planning on seeing the film in IMAX??

I live 15 minutes from an IMAX screen. If they show it here I'll go, but I'm not expecting it as I don't believe they played The Dark Knight here.

Ill see it in IMAX. I have no clue why JJ would decide not to use IMAX, at least for selected scenes, like Dark Knight did, but at any rate the screen is huge and the sound is top notch.

No I will not, because there isn't an IMAX near where I live. Or a least there isn't one around right now I think they might be building one.

At the time of filming there may not have been plans to put it to Imax.

Impossible Devon, because true IMAX scenes were in the film and you cannot have TRUE IMAX without an IMAX camera involved.

According to the bonus stuff in "The Dark Knight" DVD, handheld IMAX stuff was extremely experimental and time-consuming when they were filming those TDK IMAX sequences, and no guarantee they'd get what they wanted.

I dunno. Even if they show the film at the proper aspect ratio (not stretched all the way from floor to ceiling), it still seems that all the chairs in the theater are too close to the screen, so you have to turn your head from side to side to see the whole picture. I prefer a more passive viewing experience.

But the IMAX sound system is good ...
