Are you annoyed because its "Syfy" or just name change in general?

In Canada, Space isn't the only place I can find science fiction, but it's the only place where I can go any day of the week or any time of the day to find sci-fi/fantasy programming. That's the way SciFi should be.

I'm sorry to bust your bubble, but Space itself is also dying: it's not what it used to be as a channel, so much so that I'm considering writing to the CRTC and complaining about it. Getting rid of the interview segments with sci-fi authors in between each show, ending the Space News segments that talked about what was going on in space exploration as a whole, stopping the little information blurbs about conventions, constantly rerunning Star Trek all of the fracking time and not getting other shows other than it, canceling the Spacey Awards, showing crappy, cheap Canadian low budget DTV movies that aren't science fiction at all-this is symptomatic of a channel being taken over by a company that doesn't give a shit (CTV Globemedia, I'm looking at you!)

It's time for Space to get back to what it was, die off, or change it's name, because as far as I can see, it's basically the same thing as SyFy, only Canadian.

I haven't really watched Syfy since BSG ended. It's almost torture for me to sit down and watch SGU because of how horrible it looks in SD and because the commercials are the most oddly placed ones of all time.

I don't waste my time with Syfy. I don't understand how there could be wrestling on a sci-fi channel. If I want Star Trek, I can find TNG on WGN and BBC-America. Voyager is showing on Spike. Syfy just shows mediocre crap and worthless reality like ghost hunters.:(

^What happens is, every week, WWE uplinks their show to a satellite, Syfy receive that feed, record it and rebroadcast it later on their channel.

I don't know why everyone is so surprised that wrestling is on a cable channel. American cable television was built on professional wrestling - ask Ted Turner!

^You never saw the thread about allecto's feminist anti-Firefly Joss Whedon is a rapist rant then.

1) It's just a name change. Granted, it's fairly a stupid name change, but just a name change.

2) About the only things I watch on SyFy now are Doctor Who and Caprica, neither of which will be airing again for a while. Still, I can get Caprica via Hulu and Doctor Who via BBC America, so I'm not in any hurry.

3) Wrestling gets ratings. It's that simple. You can get all hoity-toity about how it's not the intended programming best suited for SyFy's demographic, but the fact remains -- wrestling brings in the numbers. This, also, ignoring the simple fact that if you don't like wrestling, don't fucking watch it.

4) Treker, if this thread is so necro'd it's suddenly a problem for ya, stop freaking posting in it.

5) Lastly:
