In Canada, Space isn't the only place I can find science fiction, but it's the only place where I can go any day of the week or any time of the day to find sci-fi/fantasy programming. That's the way SciFi should be.
I'm sorry to bust your bubble, but Space itself is also dying: it's not what it used to be as a channel, so much so that I'm considering writing to the CRTC and complaining about it. Getting rid of the interview segments with sci-fi authors in between each show, ending the
Space News segments that talked about what was going on in space exploration as a whole, stopping the little information blurbs about conventions, constantly rerunning
Star Trek all of the fracking time and not getting other shows other than it, canceling the Spacey Awards, showing crappy, cheap Canadian low budget DTV movies that aren't science fiction at all-this is symptomatic of a channel being taken over by a company that doesn't give a shit (CTV Globemedia, I'm looking at you!)
It's time for Space to get back to what it was, die off, or change it's name, because as far as I can see, it's basically the same thing as SyFy, only Canadian.
