Are we allowed to like the Ferengi?

Individually? Depends on the Ferengi. As they're depicted in Star Trek in general as a whole? Let's just say they represent a lot of what I dislike the most about the society we actually live in. They were created in the '80s as an exaggeration of greed, vice, and excess. And in some cases, it's unfortunately not an exaggeration.

5 Good things about being Ferengi

1. Generous supply of drinking water.
2. Self denial is not a Ferengi thing.
3. Reduced family clothing budget (that whole thing with females).
4. No genocides by evil socialist states.
5. You can oo-mox yourself in public without getting arrested (the human equivalent, not so much).

Many of my ideas are pretty weird but I try to care about the feelings of the people that I am talking to.

Perhaps one thing that some people in the past have not liked about my style of writing is that I enjoy dramatic exaggeration. I do not always speak 100% literally. There always seems to be some “Drax” person who can’t get this. Anyway, if you wonder if I am speaking literally or not, just ask me.
