I guess all those years of trek books are kinda moot now right?
None of the books are canon, and probably never will be. There does seem to be a bit more coordination now than there has been in the past, but the fact that the first Discovery book was contradicted by the second season is pretty definite proof that it wasn't canon. Now that Picard and Discovery are out I guess those are canon? the newer books seemed geared for those series.

The fact that I also repeatedly said, on this BBS and on other sites, that the book was not canon might also have been a clue.None of the books are canon, and probably never will be. There does seem to be a bit more coordination now than there has been in the past, but the fact that the first Discovery book was contradicted by the second season is pretty definite proof that it wasn't canon.

This subject has been discussed to death in this subforum. Now that Picard and Discovery are out I guess those are canon? the newer books seemed geared for those series.

I agree with this interpretation in spite of the fifth DIS novel.None of the books are canon, and probably never will be. There does seem to be a bit more coordination now than there has been in the past, but the fact that the first Discovery book was contradicted by the second season is pretty definite proof that it wasn't canon.

MY BOOKS:
It's not me burning my books! It's them bursting into flames of their own accord because they're no longer in-continuity.That's disrespectful. Also book burning is never funny.
