Are there any planned books taking place in the Typhon universe?

Now that Picard and Discovery are out I guess those are canon? the newer books seemed geared for those series.

I guess all those years of trek books are kinda moot now right?

There's a Voyager book coming later this year, that wraps up the Kirsten Beyer run, and someone (@David Mack) said something about their being another Data and Lal book (possibly) coming down the road.

None of the books are canon, and probably never will be. There does seem to be a bit more coordination now than there has been in the past, but the fact that the first Discovery book was contradicted by the second season is pretty definite proof that it wasn't canon.

The fact that I also repeatedly said, on this BBS and on other sites, that the book was not canon might also have been a clue.

Except that canon itself is often contradicted by later canon (lithium crystals, James R. Kirk, UESPA, Data's early use of contractions, etc.). "Canon" is basically a meaningless word that fandom is unduly preoccupied with. All it really means is who the author of a story is, the creator/owner of the series or somebody else.

This subject has been discussed to death in this subforum.

None of the books are canon, and probably never will be. There does seem to be a bit more coordination now than there has been in the past, but the fact that the first Discovery book was contradicted by the second season is pretty definite proof that it wasn't canon.

I agree with this interpretation in spite of the fifth DIS novel.
