Are there any Captain Spock books?

We know Spock had command of Enterprise in the period between the first and second movies. It had been delegated as a training vessel, but I'm sure some good stories could still be told of Captain Spock. Has anyone already done this?

The Vulcan's Forge and Vulcan's Heart novels feature Captain Spock after Kirk's presumed death.

You know, I can't think of any books that specifically focus on Captain Spock in the years between TMP and TWOK. But I agree, there could be a good novel or two in that.

You might want to check out some of the DC Comics published between STIII and STIV. There, they had Spock commanding the science vessel Surak, and they had a few issues focusing on Spock and his new crew.

Does The Pandora Principle have Spock as captain, or at least in command during a mission? Strangers From the Sky has a framing story between TMP and WoK, And, as JonnyQuest says, there's a couple DC volume one standalone issues showing him as a captain with his own crew, all new characters as far as I know.

Spock is a prominent character in the second part of Forgotten History, which is set between TMP and TWOK. However, it is so much closer to TMP, that he's not a captain yet. Still, for those interested in his character development between those two movies, it's a good novel to read.

"Just Another Little Training Cruise" in Enterprise Logs is the only story I can think of about the Enterprise on a mission under Captain Spock during that period.

No, he's still just Mr. Spock there, although Kirk is called Admiral and Nogura is trying to get him back behind a desk.

Parts 2-3 of Mere Anarchy: The Darkness Drops Again are also set during Spock's captaincy, although Part 2 has Admiral Kirk commanding the mission much like in TWOK. (I posited there that Kirk's condition for returning to the admiralty was that the Enterprise would be his personal flagship under Spock's command and he would occasionally take it out on special missions.)
